The Accountant supports the Financial Controller by managing key accounting and financial reporting functions for the U.S. entity, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently within established guidance. This role partners closely with the Controller to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across local, group, and global structures within a regulated defense manufacturing environment.</p>
<p>
This position is hands-on and primarily responsible for preparing components of the monthly close process, including supporting schedules and reporting packages. The role also assists with audit and regulatory compliance requirements and contributes to maintaining and strengthening internal controls. In addition, the position supports financial analysis, budgeting, and cost performance monitoring, providing reliable data and insights while operating as a strong individual contributor</p>

Core Responsibilities</b></h4><p>
1. Financial Close &amp; Accounting Operations</p><ul><li>
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process</li><li>
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations</li><li>
Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity</li><li>
Oversee all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities</li><li>
Support inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and alignment with IFRS reporting requirements</li><li>
Strengthen and maintain internal controls in accordance with group and regulatory standards</li></ul><p>
2. Global &amp; Group Reporting</p><ul><li>
Support preparation and submission of monthly financial reporting packages to Group and Global Finance</li><li>
Support implementation of reporting through Visual ERP and Tagetik consolidation system</li><li>
Reconcile intercompany transactions</li><li>
Provide variance analysis and detailed commentary for grouplevel review</li><li>
Support quarterly reforecast and annual budget submissions</li><li>
Assist with consolidation requirements and global reporting deadlines</li></ul><p>
3. Audit &amp; Regulatory Compliance</p><ul><li>
Support coordination of external financial statement audits</li><li>
Support government and defenserelated audit requirements</li><li>
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation</li><li>
Assist with state and federal reporting obligations</li></ul><p>
4. Financial Analysis &amp; Business Support</p><ul><li>
Support product cost analysis and margin performance monitoring</li><li>
Assist in working capital and cash flow analysis</li><li>
Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes</li><li>
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational decisionmaking</li></ul><p>
5. Systems &amp; Process Improvement</p><ul><li>
Support financial systems resource for Visual ERP and Tagetik</li><li>
Support by identifying and implementation of process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency</li><li>
Support system upgrades and reporting enhancements</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h4><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting or finance required</li><li>
CPA strongly preferred</li><li>
610 years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>
Manufacturing experience required</li><li>
Experience in international reporting environments is preferred.</li><li>
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS required</li><li>
Experience with ERP systems required; Visual and/or Tagetik experience a plus.</li><li>
Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting preferred</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
