This role is hands-on and will help keep the stars aligned for the design and product team.</div><div></div><div><i><br>
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA three days a week.</i></div><br>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
WHAT YOU'LL DO</b></h3><ul><li>
Collaborate closely with the Senior designer on the complete design process from concept to final, including: conceptualizing, creating, and developing bags for licensed and non licensed product</li><li>
Reviewing and revising prototypes with cross-functional team</li><li>
Extremely detailed CADS and specs for handbags/SLGs, and other accessories categories</li><li>
Prepare spec sheets with detailed technical / construction information and art direction for cross functional partners</li><li>
Communicate effectively &amp; work closely with Apparel Design, Buying, PD, Art and Technical Design teams throughout the development process to ensure the highest level of quality and integrity</li><li>
Maintain design records and material library, and ensures line sheets are up to date</li><li>
Hardware development, specification, and illustrating for hardlines and non-apparel</li><li>
Research and shop market for trend and inspiration, creating boards (as needed), identifying new trends in fabric, trim, fit, and hardware pieces, and other raw materials</li><li>
Maintain an active role in weekly meetings by taking notes and following up as needed with the licensing/buying teams</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
WHAT YOU'LL NEED</b></h3><ul><li>
College degree in fashion design, handbag design, accessory design or related field preferred</li><li>
5+ years in design/product development in vertical retail and ecomm companies in handbags and other hardline accessories categories</li><li>
Understanding of bag design and technical construction and manufacturing of non-apparel/hardlines categories (International factories)</li><li>
Accurate Flat (CAD) sketching skills &ndash; Adobe Illustrator &ndash; required</li><li>
Strong computer skills, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Outlook, Excel, Adobe</li><li>
Highly organized, detail-oriented, strong time management skills, and excellent communication skills &ndash; both written and verbal</li><li>
Meets deadlines, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipates change, and maintains composure under pressure</li><li>
Passion and knowledge of pop culture and the licenses that Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe have</li><li>
Team player &ndash; ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment</li></ul><div><i>
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual&rsquo;s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training, and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.</i></div></div>
