Job Description &ndash; Maintenance Supervisor (Hotel, Forbesganj)The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and civil systems in the hotel. The role demands hands-on technical expertise, quick troubleshooting ability, and team leadership to keep all guest areas and back-of-house systems in optimal working condition.Key Responsibilities1. Daily Operations &amp; Troubleshooting<ul><li>Supervise and execute daily maintenance activities across guest rooms, public areas, kitchen, and back-office.</li><li>Perform routine inspections of electrical panels, HVAC systems, water pumps, STP/RO plants, DG set, and elevators.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance calls from departments and ensure quick rectification.</li><li>Maintain a maintenance logbook for all reported issues and completed work.</li><li>Oversee minor civil repairs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing leaks, and fittings.</li></ul>2. Preventive Maintenance<ul><li>Implement a Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.</li><li>Coordinate planned servicing of generator, air conditioning units, lifts, water filtration, and kitchen equipment.</li><li>Ensure routine cleaning and inspection of water tanks, filters, and iron removal units.</li><li>Record service reports and maintain documentation for internal audits and government inspections.</li></ul>3. Vendor &amp; Contractor Coordination<ul><li>Liaise with external service providers for annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).</li><li>Supervise contractor work for safety compliance and quality standards.</li><li>Verify vendor bills against job completion reports before forwarding to Accounts.</li></ul>4. Energy &amp; Safety Management<ul><li>Monitor and optimize energy consumption &mdash; electricity, diesel, and water usage.</li><li>Conduct safety checks for fire alarms, emergency lighting, and extinguishers.</li><li>Train staff on safe use of equipment, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and emergency response.</li><li>Report major hazards or accidents to the General Manager immediately.</li></ul>5. Inventory &amp; Cost Control<ul><li>Maintain inventory of tools, spares, electrical fittings, and plumbing materials.</li><li>Raise purchase indents in coordination with the Store and Accounts departments.</li><li>Track consumption and prevent wastage of repair materials and consumables.</li></ul>6. Team Supervision &amp; Training<ul><li>Lead and train a small maintenance team (2&ndash;3 technicians/assistants).</li><li>Allocate daily tasks and monitor output for timely completion.</li><li>Conduct monthly tool checks and ensure proper usage and upkeep.</li><li>Build a culture of accountability, punctuality, and preventive care.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Requirements<ul><li>ITI or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Refrigeration / Civil Maintenance.</li><li>5+ years of experience in hotel, hospital, or facility maintenance; 1&ndash;2 years in a supervisory role preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, DG, RO/STP, HVAC, and fire panels.</li><li>Familiarity with maintenance software or Excel-based log tracking.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or emergencies.</li><li>Physically fit, disciplined, and solution-oriented.</li></ul>Reporting ToGeneral ManagerWork Hours6 days/week | 9-hour shift (rotational) | On-call support for breakdownsCompensation &amp; BenefitsCompetitive salary + meals on duty + PF/ESI + staff accommodation (if applicable)Performance KPIs<ul><li>Breakdown response time and downtime hours</li><li>Completion rate of preventive maintenance schedule</li><li>Energy consumption efficiency (electricity, diesel, water)</li><li>Maintenance cost per occupied room</li><li>Team punctuality and equipment uptime</li></ul>Job Type: PermanentPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;28,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
