<div>Become a Vegetation Technician with Hotshot Arbor Care and do things right, the first time. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License. 
These are full-time, hourly positions and they are 100 percent field based. Work locations will generally be in and around Santa Barbara County, LA County, Ventura County.

Vegetation Technicians will perform a variety of vegetation management duties under the leadership of a supervisor to maintain compliance for PRC 4292. 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Execute tasks related to vegetation management</li>
<li>Safely operate various small equipment including loppers, pole saws, leaf blowers, and chainsaws for maintenance purposes</li>
<li>Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment, maintaining detailed logs</li>
<li>Adhere strictly to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols</li>
<li>Report any safety concerns promptly to team leads or relevant personnel, fostering a culture of open communication</li>
<li>Contribute to a zero-injury environment by actively engaging in safety programs, meetings, and training sessions</li>
<li>Undertake additional vegetation and maintenance duties as needed, maintaining consistent standards</li>
<li>Assess clearance needs and identify exceptions as required</li></ul> 


Daily Workflow:
<ul>
<li>Gather for a safety briefing at the yard</li>
<li>Conduct thorough checks of equipment and vehicles, documenting findings</li>
<li>Travel to designated utility structures, confirming locations</li>
<li>Utilize digital tools for structure assessment and documentation</li>
<li>Notify customers as necessary</li>
<li>Gain access to structures safely</li>
<li>Inspect structures and capture required documentation digitally</li>
<li>Assess vegetation compliance and update work management systems accordingly</li>
<li>Perform necessary clearance around structures, documenting all work performed</li>
<li>Remove excess brush and dispose of it appropriately</li>
<li>Ensure accurate documentation and synchronization of records</li></ul> 


Requirements:

<li>Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 30 to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Reliable and committed work ethic</li>
<li>Capability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Proficiency in map reading and GPS navigation</li>
<li>Willingness to travel to various job sites</li>
<li>Aptitude for maintaining and operating tools and equipment effectively</li>

Qualifications/Experience 
Essentials:
<ul>
<li>Minimum age requirement of 18 years</li>
<li>Valid California Driver&rsquo;s License with clean driving record</li>
<li>Be able to complete a pre- employment drug screen</li>
<li>Be able to successfully complete a background check</li></ul> 


Preferred:
<ul>
<li>1 year of experience in vegetation management or landscaping</li>
<li>Have a general understanding of PRC 4292</li>
<li>Experience in Structure Brushing or similar program</li>
<li>Proficiency in GIS based applications, data entry, mobile applications</li>
<li>Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI standards (OSHA Certifications a plus)</li>
<li>First Aid/CPR certification</li>
<li>Completion of ICS-100 Introduction to ICS course</li>
<li>S-130 Firefighter Training completion</li>
<li>IS-700/IS700a NIMS: An introduction certification</li>
<li>RT-130 Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher including fire shelter (WFSTAR) Training</li>
<li>S-212 Wildland Fire Chain Saws Training</li></ul> 
All candidates must pass background and Driver's Record checks, as well as a pre-employment drug test. Regular and random drug and alcohol screenings will be conducted during employment. Employees are required to provide their own hard toe lace-up work boots in good condition and possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license. Proficiency in English is necessary. 
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week, overtime may be offered on an as needed basis
