Position Summary
The Recruitment and HR Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for all positions across the organization. This includes working directly with hiring managers to define needs, sourcing candidates, screening and interviewing, coordinating offers, and leading onboarding efforts. The Specialist also supports broader HR functions such as employee relations, compliance, training coordination, and data management.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities<ul><li>
Prepare and post job requisitions in the applicant tracking system and external job boards.</li><li>
Source and screen candidates for open positions, referring qualified applicants to managers.</li><li>
Schedule interviews with managers and regional leadership.</li><li>
Track candidate progress through screenings, interviews, and hiring in Paylocity and related spreadsheets.</li><li>
Send offer letters and coordinate candidate communications throughout the hiring process.</li><li>
Conduct new hire orientation and assist with onboarding activities in Paylocity and RSI.</li><li>
Coordinate with managers and IT to ensure equipment and access are prepared for new hires.
</li><li>Provide regular updates to managers and IT on onboarding status and upcoming start dates.</li><li>
Prepare and send welcome emails and orientation communications to new hires and staff.</li><li>
Maintain recruiting records and ensure compliance with internal processes and applicable regulations.
</li><li>Cross-trained with HR Generalist and performs additional HR projects.
</li></ul>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities &ndash; General Performance<ul><li>
Strong recruiting, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present and negotiate effectively.</li><li>
Ability to build trust and credibility with hiring managers and candidates alike.</li><li>
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple searches at once.</li><li>
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in all matters.</li><li>
Proficiency with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting compliance.</li><li>
Familiarity with onboarding best practices and employee engagement strategies.</li></ul>

Education &amp; Experience Required<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
</li><li>1-3 years of recruiting, HR, or administrative experience required.</li><li>
Prior experience in onboarding and HR administration required.</li><li>
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.</li><li>
Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% within Prospera&rsquo;s service area.</li><li>
Valid Class &ldquo;C&rdquo; Texas Driver&rsquo;s License required.</li></ul>

Physical and Mental Requirements<ul><li>
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>

The mental work demands regular attendance, working well with others, verbal contact with others, noise and occasional travel by conventional means including motor vehicle and the like within Prospera&rsquo;s region and other locations as required.</li></ul>

Position Summary
Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level role responsible for independently performing a broad range of maintenance tasks. This position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining properties to ensure they are in optimal condition. The role covers various maintenance activities such as caulking, painting, basic electrical and plumbing work, window and flooring repairs, fencing, roofing, concrete work, janitorial duties, landscaping, and HVAC maintenance. Maintenance Technician II ensures that all buildings, structures, equipment, and appliances are functioning as designed and supports the company in maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations across the portfolio. This position reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager with daily worksite oversite from the properties Maintenance Technician III.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities<ul><li>
Perform intermediate maintenance tasks, including but not limited to basic electrical and plumbing repairs.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.</li><li>
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.</li><li>
Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I staff.</li><li>
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.</li><li>
Complete unit make-readies, ensuring vacant units are fully prepared for leasing. Responsibilities include:</li><li>
Conducting initial move-out inspections and documenting unit conditions. Performing key/lock changes, necessary repairs, painting, and deep cleaning.</li><li>
Assist in managing the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.</li><li>
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned by leadership to support the mission on Prospera Community Housing.</li><li>
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.</li></ul>
Certifications<ul><li>
EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.</li><li>
OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification for safety awareness</li><li>
EPA Section 608 Certification for HVAC.</li><li>
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) for pool maintenance (If required at location).</li></ul>
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities &ndash; General Performance<ul><li>
Knowledge of Government Inspections and requirements, such as HUD and TDHCA.</li><li>
Able to independently use computers, cell phones and other technological devices or tools to document and complete daily assigned tasks or company policies.</li><li>
Have the strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently within designated timeframes</li><li>
Exhibit excellent time management skills by efficiently prioritizing and completing maintenance tasks to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational performance.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance tasks.</li><li>
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities
There is no supervisory responsibility or direct reports for this position.
Requirements:

 Education &amp; Experience Required<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li></ul>
Communication Required<ul><li>

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not essential.</li></ul>
Physical and Mental Requirements<ul><li>

Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.</li><li>
Must be comfortable using ladders and working at heights to perform tasks.</li><li>
Be able to work with prolonged periods of standing and walking, either indoors or outdoors.</li><li>
Use of hand tools and power tools, necessitating good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.</li><li>
Able to perform tasks that involve repetitive motions.</li><li>
Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots, as required by the task.</li><li>
