Job Summary SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVESCoordinate the activity of northbound drivers delivering goods to customers or businesses. Establishing routes, assigning tasks to drivers, reducing merchandise damage, looking for solutions to increase efficiency, and solving customer complaints.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<ul><li>Scheduling and coordination of Local drivers.</li><li>Dedicate importance to detail.</li><li>Manage appointments and scheduling delivery on a timely manner.</li><li>Maintain a control regarding outgoing and incoming lists.</li><li>Effective communication with Southbound dispatch department and drivers coming SB</li><li>Control problems and resolutions regarding Southbound transit and delivery loads</li><li>Constant monitoring of drivers, delivery time, and road problems among other situations.</li><li>Quantification southbound loads and loads pending to roll out</li><li>Check and balance on daily delivery list</li><li>Make copies of all BOL that are schedule to deliver and keep a copy of everything, scan copies to Mcleod.</li><li>Driver envelopes when receiving verify the BOLs in the envelope, only scale/logs/receipts.</li><li>If receiving envelopes provide the turn to drivers and close trip.</li><li>Create the Y Split on order or closed orders</li><li>Check the trailer inventory for the Southbound loads at our premises.</li><li>Coordinate drivers, Create monthly calendar for the weekends, verify drivers daily log sheet</li><li>Follow up with drivers coming SB and make sure they delivered the loads in a timely manner.</li><li>Scan all delivered PODs and BOLs</li><li>Email brokers on all dispatched loads with ETA of delivery</li><li>Email to brokers including PODs in and out times, detentions, layovers fees</li><li>Follow up with broker on any additional fee</li><li>Follow up on all drivers delivering before 8:00 am</li><li>Write on log all PODs to be turned in to Accounting, make a list of all POD return to Accounting including dispatch department. </li><li>Process EFS checks upon written management approval via text message or WhatsApp.</li><li>Answer broker calls and provide status via email.</li><li>Answer Driver calls and provide instructions on their delivery</li><li>Follow up on drivers&rsquo; information (reply to emails) </li><li>Run daily reports of the loads coming SB and send message to drivers requesting delivery.</li><li>Assigned orders on system to drivers, dispatch and closed orders</li></ul>EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>High School diploma</li><li>Knowledge and experience in dispatch in the transportation field</li><li>MapQuest</li><li>3 Sixty (DAT)</li><li>Internet Truckstop</li><li>McLeod Knowledge Required</li><li>Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.</li><li>Work the assigned schedule and comply with the company&rsquo;s timekeeping policy.</li><li>minimum 3 years of experience</li></ul>COMPETENCIES<ul><li>Ability to follow and give directions</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing</li><li>Knowledge of transportation industry</li><li>Ability to use hardware, various software programs and technologies including word processing, spreadsheet programs, and internet</li><li>Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize duties and work with meeting deadlines</li><li>Ability to answer and respond to telephone request in a courteous manner</li><li>Ability to maintain harmonious and effective working relationship with other employees and respond to general complaints in a positive manner</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li>Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.</li><li>Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
