Essential Functions:</b></h2><br>
<p></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure the production schedule is supported through the efficient creation of purchase orders that meet the demands as dictated by the MRP system or purchase requisitions.</li>
<li>Develop/Execute ordering strategies as well as Inventory/Safety Stock levels to support the production schedule in an efficient manner.</li>
<li>Growing and enhancing supplier relationships.</li>
<li>Set up and maintain all raw material deliveries (schedules).</li>
<li>Manage cycle counting program &ndash; including explanation of variances.</li>
<li>Assist in periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data.</li>
<li>Manage contracts and quality assurances issues.</li>
<li>Ensure effective communication within the department and with all company functions.</li>
<li>Analyze, correct, and enter daily data collection systems as needed for department.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate files.</li>
<li>Backup team members as needed.</li>
<li>Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.</li></ul><br>

Education and Experience:</b></h2><br>
<p></p>
<ul>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>Associates Degree with emphasis on business and two years of Procurement experience</li>
<li>Experience may be substituted for education</li>
<li>Basic understanding of General Accounting and Finance</li>
<li>SAP knowledge a plus</li>
<li>Excellent math skills</li>
<li>Advanced Computer knowledge (word processing, Excel spreadsheets, report building)</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, ability to quickly identify issues and resolve and ensure a high level of accuracy in all functions within your job</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Ability to work well with people</li></ul><br>
