The Warehouse Operations Associate supports daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound cargo, container receiving and releasing, and dry, cooler, and freezer storage management. This role works closely with the Operations Clerk and warehouse team to ensure cargo is handled accurately, safely, and on schedule.Essential Functions<ul><li>Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with customers.</li><li>Verify piece counts upon receipt of cargo.</li><li>Recondition cargo as needed, including re-icing, repacking, or repairing minor cosmetic damage.</li><li>Follow up with customers and vendors on delivery and pickup status to ensure timely completion.</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory records for warehouse, cooler, and freezer storage.</li><li>Assist with packing, distribution, and cargo separation according to instructions from the Operations Clerk.</li><li>Provide regular status updates to supervisors and operations staff.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Address customer needs and complaints by providing appropriate solutions within established timeframes.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following all safety procedures.</li><li>Work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support beyond assigned duties when needed.</li><li>Follow instructions from supervisors and report progress on assigned tasks.</li><li>Perform basic warehouse and equipment maintenance, including:</li><li>Organizing shelves</li><li>Sweeping and cleaning work areas</li><li>Washing vehicles</li><li>Refueling DEF fluid</li><li>Watering truck batteries and radiators</li></ul>*<ul><li>Notify supervisors if specialized maintenance or technical repairs are required.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Basic knowledge of logistics and import/export regulations.</li><li>Strong willingness to learn and apply new skills.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay in control of dynamic situations.</li><li>Flexibility and ability to think creatively to provide solutions.</li><li>Effective time management skills.</li><li>Basic math skills for calculations, conversions, and rates.</li><li>Strong communication skills, including timely responses and clear reporting.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities<ul><li>None.</li></ul>Reporting Structure<ul><li>Reports directly to the Supervisor or Manager.</li></ul>Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a warehouse environment, including dry storage, cooler, and freezer areas, as well as outdoor areas for pickup and delivery. Employees routinely use forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, vans, computers, phones, and other standard warehouse equipment.Physical Demands<ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently.</li><li>Ability to lift, move, and open boxes as required.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.</li><li>Lifts over 50 pounds require team assistance.</li></ul>Position Type &amp; Expected Hours of Work<ul><li>Temporary position.</li><li>Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.</li><li>Hours may vary based on shipment schedules and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $20.00 per hourWork Location: In person
