Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic MSN prepared Nurse for a Clinical Coordinator role. This role is fully on site at our Columbus Campus.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Serving as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the campus</li>
<li>Establishing and securing the clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing programs</li>
<li>Soliciting ideas for potential clinical sites from faculty, administration and staff and completing an assessment of the clinical site in relation to curricular and course outcomes</li>
<li>Making clinical site visits during student experiences ensuring all requirements delineated within clinical affiliation agreements are upheld</li>
<li>Developing effective business relationships and facilitating clear communication with clinical leadership</li>
<li>Securing clinical sites to assure full implementation of the clinical component of the nursing programs</li>
<li>Collaborating with course faculty to coordinate and arrange for the preceptorship experience</li>
<li>Meeting regularly with Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Campus Executive Director to forecast clinical site needs in the market</li>
<li>Acting as an ambassador for the College in all interactions with clinical facilities, clinical faculty, students and others</li>
<li>Completing assessments of potential sites through site visits, census assessments, and course evaluations</li>
<li>Documenting findings and making recommendations for future site utilization</li>
<li>Developing and facilitating Clinical Appreciation Day</li>
<li>Coordinating ordering and distribution of clinical facility appreciation gifts</li>
<li>Establishing and participating in regular meetings with all clinical sites</li>
<li>Communicating issues, concerns and needs related to use of clinical sites with Director of Nursing in a timely manner</li>
<li>Performing quarterly site visits during clinical experiences as agreed upon with Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to observe and evaluate clinical component of the curriculum</li>
<li>Maintaining awareness of student and faculty evaluations of clinical sites in determining appropriateness of sites in implementing the clinical component of the curriculum</li>
<li>Sharing results with clinical sites in a positive and professional manner with the goal of improving the educational experience and quality of care provided</li>
<li>Coordinating Career Fairs at the College and clinical site</li>
<li>Recruiting faculty to grow the College&rsquo;s roster of potential faculty</li>
<li>Promoting the Hondros College RN-BSN program to clinical site staff nurses</li>
<li>Accepting equipment donations for campus nursing labs</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Master&rsquo;s Degree with a major in nursing.</li>
<li>At least three years full-time in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse or part-time equivalent</li>
<li>Prior teaching in a professional nursing program preferred</li>
<li>Active, unencumbered licensure in the State of OH as a Registered Nurse</li>
<li>Current American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification</li>
</ul>
General Credentialing Requirements:
Applicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start. Full detailed information is provided at time of offer. A summary of requirements includes:

<li>Providing copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned</li>
<li>Providing a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card</li>
<li>Completion of a physical form (from within the last 12 months)</li>
<li>Immunization documentation for:</li>
<li><ul><li>Hepatitis B</li>
<li>MMR</li>
<li>TDAP/Tetanus</li>
<li>TB (2 step)</li>
<li>Varicella</li>
<li>FLU (October 1 &ndash; April 1 hires)</li>
