At HubSpot, we are building a customer platform that helps millions of organizations grow better. To do this, we need a flexible, extensible foundation that allows our own engineers, third-party developers, and natural language vibe coders alike to build seamless integrations and personalizations natively into HubSpot's platform.

We are looking for a Backend Tech Lead to join the App Foundations team. This is a high priority role where you will lead a small team of engineers responsible for the packaging and distribution container for every integration across the entire HubSpot ecosystem. You will be moving the needle from a code-only extension model to a future where agents and natural language can personalize and extend the HubSpot product.
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
In this role, you will:</h3>
<ul><li>Lead by example: Serve as a &quot;Player-Coach,&quot; balancing technical mentorship for a small team of engineers with high-level system design and hands-on execution.</li>
<li>Architect the future: Own the data model and packaging systems that allow first and third-party extensions to plug into HubSpot's platform.</li>
<li>Solve complex systems problems: Reason through &quot;before and after&quot; architectural shifts that impact a wide surface area of the HubSpot product.</li>
<li>Drive AI-readiness: Build the underlying structures and guardrails that enable AI agents to reason about and build extensions and integrations on behalf of users.</li>
<li>Collaborate broadly: Partner with teams across the business to ensure that our platform decisions enable success for our global customer and developer community.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">We are looking for people who have:</h3>
<ul><li>Technical Leadership experience: Ideally, you have previously served as a Tech Lead or lead engineer in past roles.</li>
<li>Expertise in System Design: You have a proven ability to design and scale complex distributed systems.</li>
<li>Proficiency in our stack: Strong experience with Java and MySQL, and hands-on use of agent-assisted coding tools will enable candidates to hit the ground running.</li>
<li>Integration domain knowledge: Experience working on integration platform problems, extensibility frameworks, or developer platforms (either internally or externally facing).</li>
<li>A Collaborative mindset: You enjoy working cross-functionally and understand that your technical decisions affect thousands of other developers.</li>

The App Foundations team is part of a cohesive &quot;pod&quot; in our Cambridge office. You will join a larger group of long-tenured engineers who value in-person collaboration and mentorship. While HubSpot is remote-friendly, this specific team maintains a hybrid presence in Cambridge to foster deep technical culture and brainstorming. We are happy to relocate the right candidate to join us in person.<div>

Job Summary: Reporting to a Sales Strategy Manager, you'll be a key partner to sales leaders and cross-functional teams worldwide - turning data into strategy and strategy into action. This is a highly collaborative, globally-scoped role: you'll work across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to define initiatives that move the needle on rep productivity and revenue growth. <li>Deliver timely performance reporting across all levels of the GTM organization and track how initiatives land in the field</li>

Strategy &amp; Execution
<ul>
<li>Shape and prioritize strategic initiatives - from insight to recommendation to execution</li>
<li>Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to scope requirements, align stakeholders and drive projects to completion</li>
<li>Own the quality, organization and maintenance of assets across centralized repositories, keeping content sharp and accessible for reps worldwide</li>
</ul>
Sales Enablement &amp; Communication
<ul>
<li>Present strategy, progress and best practices directly to sales teams and senior leadership - you'll have a real audience and real influence</li>
<li>Conduct empathy interviews with reps to understand their needs, gather feedback and spot opportunities that data alone can't reveal</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">We are looking for people who:</h2>

Core Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Have 4+ years of professional experience in sales operations, strategy, program management, product management, or related fields</li>
<li>Are highly analytical with the ability to leverage data into actionable insights and strong project/program management skills</li>
<li>Are excellent communicators who can present effectively, document requirements clearly, and collect and synthesize user feedback</li>
<li>Have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to learn new tools quickly</li>
<li>Are comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and interacting with senior stakeholders</li>
<li>Have proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, presentation tools, and understanding of AI tools and prompt engineering</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have:
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with BI applications (Looker, Tableau) and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot)</li>
<li>Experience with demo delivery, creation, demo strategy, or sales enablement content</li>
