<div><p><b>Data Analyst Position Summary</b></p><p>
The Data Analyst is responsible for using data and analytics to improve Hudsonville Ice Cream&rsquo;s operational and financial performance. This position will emphasize cross-functional involvement with departmental leaders across the company. The person in this position will interact with these leaders to advance crucial business planning elements and insights in the areas of sales, production planning, purchasing, finance, operations, and other areas as requested. This person will be in a key position to advance Hudsonville Ice Cream&rsquo;s business reporting and business planning technologies such as Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, and Anaplan, as such experience with one or more of these tools is essential and required in this role (or other comparable tools). Knowledge of SQL and coding languages is a plus. An ideal candidate will have curiosity for all facets of the business in addition to curiosity for data and technology.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Data Analyst Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li> Develop PowerBI reports that bring visibility to key business metrics (KPI&rsquo;s)</li><li> Bring attention to key business insights that are evident in the data whether it be potential correlations or causations.</li><li> Develop efficiently coded Fabric notebooks and PowerBI queries that reduce processing time and follow commonly accepted querying practices.</li><li> Build and develop Anaplan models for business users in the areas of sales, production planning, purchasing, finance, and operations to plan in their respective areas and have high visibility to urgent matters in their respective areas (for example: potential out-of-stock items, swings in sales forecasts, or swings in financial forecasts)</li><li> Develop controls within Anaplan to ensure planning accuracy and completion of necessary planning parameters.</li><li> Build PowerBI reports and Anaplan pages with an understanding of best practices for building a usable user interface.</li><li> Run analysis for predictive analytics such as future retail sales performance, future operational waste performance, and future operational attainment.</li><li> Understanding prioritization of data projects and data requests to ensure most crucial projects are being completed.</li><li> Build PowerBI and Anaplan pages such as end-users can pull the data they need and don&rsquo;t need to request data pulls.</li><li> Develop understanding of business&rsquo;s operational systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, and more).</li><li> Build pipelines and write notebooks for data from business operational systems into Microsoft Fabric for ingestion into PowerBI and Anaplan.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Data Analyst Qualifications</b></p><ul><li> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a business field (accounting, finance, supply chain, etc.), information systems, or computer science.</li><li> Preferably 3-5 years of experience in a business function or technology function in a manufacturing environment.</li><li> Advanced Excel knowledge is essential (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Charts, Macros, etc.).</li><li> Power BI knowledge and experience or coursework is essential. PL-300 certification preferred.</li><li> Microsoft Fabric knowledge and experience is preferred. Coding experience is a plus.
</li><li> Anaplan knowledge and experience is preferred</li><li> Experience in technologies other than but comparable to PowerBI or Anaplan may suffice (Tableau, Qlik, Workday Planning, Oracle, etc).</li><li> Ability to consolidate complex information into usable customer-oriented formats.</li><li> Experience working closely with internal customers, peers, and effectively managing those relationships.
</li><li> Experience providing insightful analysis to business partners in response to business needs or opportunities.
</li><li> Ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a fast-paced business environment.

<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Equipment Maintenance &amp; Repair</b></p><ul><li>
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize unplanned downtime.</li><li>
Maintain, adjust, and optimize automated machinery to enhance production efficiency.</li></ul><p><b>
Refrigeration &amp; Utilities Support</b></p><ul><li>
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant utilities, including ammonia refrigeration and steam systems, compressed air, and water treatment systems.</li><li>
Ensure HVAC systems function properly to maintain temperature control within the facility.</li><li>
Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to refrigeration and utility systems.</li></ul><p><b>
Electrical &amp; Control Systems</b></p><ul><li>
Perform routine electrical maintenance, including motor wiring, sensor calibration, and completing minor industrial electrical repairs.</li><li>
Assist in troubleshooting PLCs and provide basic programming support.</li><li>
Reset breakers, replace fuses, and diagnose control system issues.</li></ul><p><b>
Facility Maintenance &amp; Safety Compliance</b></p><ul><li>
Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), proper use of PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.</li><li>
Ensure equipment and facility compliance with food safety and sanitation standards through active participation in inspections, audits, and adherence to company policies.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
</li></ul><p><b>Team Collaboration &amp; Continuous Improvement</b></p><ul><li>
Collaborate with production, sanitation, and quality assurance teams to maintain equipment efficiency and hygiene.</li><li>

Education and Experience:</b></p><ul><li> High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.</li><li> 1+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.
</li><li> 1+ years of experience servicing machines, equipment, or devices by identifying issues and replacing defective parts preferred.
</li><li> Familiarity with facility utility systems such as boilers, air compressors, and ammonia refrigeration.</li><li> Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety programs.</li><li> Experience in ice cream manufacturing, dairy, or other food processing environments is preferred but not required.</li><li> Proficiency in operating forklifts and scissor lifts; certified or able to obtain necessary licenses.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Skills </b><b>and Competencies</b><b>:</b></p><ul><li> Strong mechanical aptitude with capability in using hand tools and shop equipment (e.g., welders, drills, metal cutting tools).

<p>Physical Requirements</p><p></p><ul><li><br>

Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights as needed.</li><li> <b>Temperature Conditions:</b> Ability to work in varying temperature environments, depending on the plant's conditions.</li><li> <b>Physical Strength:</b> Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, and with the ability to handle heavier items occasionally with assistance.
</li><li> <b>Manual Dexterity:</b> Requires precise hand-eye coordination for handling tools, parts, and equipment, and for performing detailed mechanical work. Must be able to use both hands for repetitive grasping, lifting, and operating machinery.</li><li> <b>Visual and Hearing Acuity:</b> Sufficient vision and hearing, with or without correction, to safely navigate the work environment, read gauges, identify hazards, and detect equipment alarms or other auditory signals.
</li><li> <b>Communication and Responsiveness: </b>Must be able to respond quickly to alarms and sounds and communicate effectively with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.</li><li> <b>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Compliance:</b> Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and bump or hard hats.</li><li> <b>Work Environment: </b>This role primarily works in a manufacturing facility where the environment is subject to varying temperature and noise level changes, and active industrial equipment.</li></ul></div>
