PENDING CONTRACT AWARDJob Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Transient Alert Project Manager to lead critical projects focused on transient aircraft operations and related logistical processes.Lead a team in the performance of aircraft transient alert services, maintenance, inspections, and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance services. Processes the technical experience to supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported. Capable of performing, supervising and inspecting the duties of Mechanic Is, IIs and IIIs, and Aircraft Servicers. Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike, must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule. This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians.<ul><li>Must be knowledgeable of technical directives and be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.</li><li>Experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and exhibit leadership and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.</li><li>Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of aircraft maintenance.</li><li>Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.</li><li>Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.</li><li>Working understanding of the aircraft and aircraft systems.</li></ul>Responsibility: Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established in the PWS. Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs, lays out work according to technical instructions and technical directives. Determines what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required. May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform.Task Requirements:<ul><li>Perform duties as Team Lead</li><li>Familiar with duties assigned to personnel within all work centers.</li><li>Assists in coordinating aircraft moves and static display requirements.</li><li>Performs duties as Liaison with base personnel for other requirements to include but not limited to fueling / defueling operations, fire department etc.</li><li>Performs all other required duties as applicable and assigned by supervision.</li><li>Performs inspection, disassembly, repair, servicing, TD compliance, modification, assembly, corrosion control, preservation/de-preservation</li><li>Maintain aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means</li><li>Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.</li><li>Support Equipment (SE) operation and inspections</li><li>Support services</li><li>General aircraft maintenance</li><li>Use chemical sealants.</li><li>Perform general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment</li><li>Perform shift work and/or overtime as required</li><li>Requisition repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through military supply system.</li><li>Perform other tasks as directed.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Five or more years' F/A-18 experience</li><li>Attended F/A-18 initial formal training</li><li>Eight or more years' experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA</li><li>Eight or more years' organizational and/or depot maintenance experience.</li><li>Eight or more years' of 4790 (NAMP) program knowledge.</li><li>Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organization Maintenance Activity course (C-555-0053) or if previously completed, both the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (Course D/E-555-0040) and the Naval Aviation Officer and Senior Supervisor NALCOMIS OOMA Familiarization course (Course D/E-555-0054).</li><li>Familiarity and ability to use NAVAIR IETMS.</li><li>Advanced Corrosion Control Course/Paint and Final Finish</li><li>Previously certified F/A-18 CDQAR</li></ul>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Aircraft maintenance qualification with five or more years&rsquo; aviation flightline ground handling experience or Federal Aviation Administration A&amp;P Certification</li><li>Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift or as required.</li><li>Basic Corrosion Control Course.</li><li>Must be able to work flexible work-week schedules as required.</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check.</li><li>Satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC) or Access National Agency Check</li><li>Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.</li><li>Must be able to use hand and power tools.</li><li>Must have dexterity to handle small parts.</li><li>Must be eligible for Common Access Card (CAC)</li></ul>Pay: $74,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
