The role focuses on AWS RDS Aurora MySQL, enterprise databases, and regulatory-driven operations, with strong ownership of database reports and SBP compliance evidence.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Database Administration &amp; Operations
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Administer and maintain cloud-based and on-premises database platforms across Production and Non-Production environments, including AWS RDS Aurora MySQL and enterprise databases deployed on Windows and Linux platforms such as Oracle and other key relational databases
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure high availability, replication, backup, restore validation, and disaster recovery preparedness
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform database patching, upgrades, configuration management, performance tuning, and capacity forecasting
 </li>
 <li>
 Support application teams during releases, schema changes, and production cutovers
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Database Reports &amp; SBP Compliance
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare and maintain database operational and compliance reports
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce database access control and privilege review reports with approval traceability
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain change, patching, and maintenance aligned with internal SOPs and SBP expectations
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide incident and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for database related issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply statistical and predictive analytics to database and business data, leveraging basic machine learning for trend analysis and forecasting. Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to create interactive, tailored, and actionable reports for stakeholders and regulatory compliance

 </ul>
 
 Linux &amp; Automation
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform hands-on administration on Linux based systems supporting database tooling
 </li>
 <li>
 Automate report generation, log collection, and backup verification using scripts and scheduled jobs
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, managing cloud and/or on-premises databases, preferably in the financial sector
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with AWS RDS Aurora MySQL, enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar), and database management across Windows and Linux platforms
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong expertise in database backup, restore, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with database performance tuning, capacity planning, and query optimization
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with data pipelines, Kafka or other event streaming platforms, and integration with application workloads
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of database security, user access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements, along with incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), reporting, and SOP adherence for database operations
 </li>

Database Administrator (DBA) - (AM/MGR)

<div>We are looking for a skilled Mid-level DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our AWS cloud environment, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards, particularly PCI DSS. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in cloud EKS, networking, security, automation, and container orchestration, with a strong understanding of microservice architecture. Working closely with various teams, you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a secure and efficient cloud infrastructure that meets the demands of a modern banking environment.
Core Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>
Design, implement, and manage AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs.</li>
<li>Integrate and manage firewall solutions (Fortinet/Palo Alto) within cloud and hybrid environments.</li>
<li>Configure and maintain DNS, load balancing, API Gateway, and CloudFront services to support application delivery.</li>
<li>Implement compliance controls related to PCI DSS and other regulatory requirements based on established policies.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and manage infrastructure as code through tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.</li>
<li>Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to ensure thorough documentation and adherence to banking regulations.</li>
<li>Provide support during business hours and participate in on-call rotation as required.</li>
<li>Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency, utilising monitoring tools such as Grafana.</li>
<li>Support containerised application deployments using Kubernetes and EKS, aligning with microservice architecture principles.</li>
<li>Manage identity and access management policies to enforce secure access across AWS resources.</li>
</ul>
Requirements<ul>
<li>
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and microservice-based application deployment is highly desirable.</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.</li>
<li>Proven experience with AWS cloud services, focusing on operational excellence, networking and security.</li>
<li>Familiarity with firewall technologies and cloud security integrations.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.</li>
Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance requirements and their implementation in cloud environments.
