 Here at Human Appeal (HA) we have an exciting opportunity for Global HR Intern to be based in Islamabad, Pakistan but working with stakeholders based locally or overseas. You will join the organization on full time basis on a 6 month fixed term contract and in return receive a competitive salary depending on your skills and expertise.

HA is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide. 


Initial 6 months will be internship, leading to fast-paced development. Upon successful completion of the internship and satisfactory performance, one internship role will transition to a Full-Time Admin Support role with a promotion and salary increase.

Role Summary

 This is a fast-paced role within a dynamic HR team, which will require a high level of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. You will be responsible for providing generalist HR support to HR Department in all areas of HR as well as being proficient with standard IT systems and the English language. 


Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide generalist support for the entire recruitment cycle including but not limited to; interview bookings, JD/JP drafting, advertisements, longlisting, coordination with managers or candidates, reference checks, etc.</li>
<li>Support HR L&amp;D initiatives including orientations, trainings, workshops etc.</li>
<li>Ensure proper HR file documentation and file management to audit standards.</li>
<li>Conducting HR quality checks via routine spot checks and maintain HR trackers.</li>
<li>Compiling HR exec summaries or reports.</li>
<li>Undertaking research projects and supporting HR project implementation when requested.</li></ul> 


Experience and Technical Competencies
<ul>
<li>Ideally a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably specialization in HR.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Prior HR work experience for 6 months, preferably in an HR generalist role.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Prior experience of business administration and working with IT systems such as Office 365, TEAMs etc. Computer literate and experienced with MS Office Suite.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Be approachable, and flexible, have a good eye for detail and be ready to work in a busy and varied role. You will also recognise that good HR practice can make a real difference to HA's success.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Fluent English is essential. Additional languages (e.g. Arabic, Urdu) are desirable</li>
<li>Passionate and knowledgeable about HR and the international development sector</li></ul></div>

Purpose of the Role: 
 
The Employee Relations Intern will support the ER Team by assisting with data analysis, reporting, and the development of tools and resources. The role will provide hands on experience in HR/ER, focusing on preparing reports, surveys, and presentations, while learning about global HR practices in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Data Analysis &amp; Reporting:<ul>
<li>Collect and analyze ER and staff engagement data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
</li>Prepare dashboards, charts, and reports using Excel and Power BI (or any other relevant tools) to support presentation.

Tools &amp; System Support:<ul>
<li>Assist in developing and updating ER tools, templates and case tracking systems.</li>
<li>Support the preparation and rollout of surveys, feedback forms, and other staff engagement mechanisms.
</li></ul>Engagement &amp; Communication Assistance:<ul>
<li>Help prepare presentations, infographics, and summaries ER insights for manager.
</li><li>Support coordination with HR colleagues and other stakeholders during ER initiatives and projects.</li>
</ul>Administrative &amp; learning Support:<ul>
<li>Provide day to day support to the manager with scheduling documentation and follow-ups.</li>
<li>Assist in organizing training sessions and maintain ER knowledge and resource files.
</li></ul>Note: Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned Accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education
<ul><li>Minimum Bachelors degree. Ideally in a relevant field, such as HR, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related filed.</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
Prior HR work experience for 6 months, preferably in an HR generalist role.
</li><li>Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts) and Power BI.</li><li>
Excellent skills in creating graphs, dashboards and presentations (Power point).</li><li>
Basic knowledge of HR/ER principles and interest in employee relations and engagement.</li></ul>
Computer Skills<ul><li>
Prior experience of business administration and working with IT systems such as Office 365, TEAMs etc. Computer literate and experienced with MS Office Suite.</li></ul>
Languages<ul><li>
Fluent English is essential.</li></ul>
Desirable<ul><li>
Exposure to survey design, data visualization, or HR information systems.</li><li>
Knowledge of additional languages (Arabic, French).</li></ul>
