Job Summary: Are you passionate about shaping the future of computer and IT-related content? BPB Publications is seeking a skilled Content Development Editor to work directly with authors to create high quality manuscripts. As a Content Development Editor, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality computer and IT-related content. You will collaborate with the authors (that may be of Indian/foreign origin), to share editorial feedback to help create engaging and informative books that cater to our diverse audience.Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>CDEs work closely with the author(s) to develop content and provide editorial support for them as per the BPB Style Guidelines &amp; templates which includes but is not limited to - grammar checks, sentence rephrasing, para phrasing, checking the structure/flow of the content.</li><li>Conducting research on the technology of the title they have been assigned so that they have some basic understanding of the technology.</li><li>CDEs address queries or concerns raised by the technical reviewers of the book and act as intermediaries between the author(s) and technical reviewers.</li><li>Scheduling activities to ensure that content is received in a timely manner, and also accommodates any delays that occur.</li><li>As CDEs will be handling multiple titles/authors at a time, they must be good at multi-tasking and maintaining a track of their follow-ups and deadlines.</li></ul>Required Skills: <ul><li>Excellent command of English language</li><li>Good communication skills : Verbal and written</li><li>Ability to quickly adapt and learn</li><li>Interest in learning about new &amp; emerging technologies.</li><li>Basics of MS Office and G Suite</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven experience as a content writer/editor</li><li>Compelling writing style, voice, and tone</li><li>Experience using content management systems</li><li>Positive attitude and a willingness to learn</li><li>Portfolio of relevant writing samples</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
