Job Description: Chief Financial Officer 
PRIMARY FUNCTION AND RELATIONSHIP TO ORGANIZATION:
CFO will direct and oversee the financial activities and audit functions of the organization. CFO will manage and coordinate all financial affairs, design and implement systems to identify and control the income and expenditures within the organization, strategize as part of the administration team regarding methods for generating increased revenues and control operational costs in relation to the long-term goals of the organization, the market trend, and the status of the community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Oversee investments and monitors cash in the best interest of the hospital.</li><li>
Oversee all financial activity, ensuring consistent and proper accounting throughout.</li><li>
Presents financial information in a user-friendly format to the board, leaders and staff.</li><li>
Works with Leadership to develop operational and capital budgets and submits county budget per state guidelines.</li><li>
Prepares and/or monitors work papers necessary for annual audits and cost report preparation.</li></ul><ul><li>
Coordinates annual external audit requirements to ensure a complete financial audit within regulatory guidelines.</li><li>
Files required reports per debt and creditor guidelines</li></ul><ul><li>
In collaboration with IT leadership and staff, oversees the completion of the annual IT risk assessment.</li><li>
Reviews policies, procedures and goals for areas of responsibility; develops as necessary.</li><li>
Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.</li><li>
Identifies opportunities through proformas for expansion into new product areas.</li><li>
Attends required meetings and participates on committees as needed.</li><li>
Participates in professional activities and maintains professional affiliations to keep abreast of current trends and changes in regulations in health care.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.</li><li>
Analyzes current and potential service lines and endeavors for financial stability and community need.</li><li>
Reviews and renews insurance policies ensuring adequate coverage at reasonable rates.</li><li>
Keeps up to date on all applicable hospital wide policies and procedures.</li><li>
Collaborates with all individuals to achieve the vision, mission, values and goals of the organization.</li><li>
Participates in other functions to include, but not limited to, educational activities, quality improvement projects, staff selection.</li><li>
Performs functions other than described above due to extenuating circumstances</li></ul>

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance or accounting required, Master&rsquo;s degree and/or CPA preferred.</li><li>
Prior hospital finance experience preferred.</li><li>
Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems</li><li>
General knowledge of hospital revenue cycle or cost-based reimbursement preferred.</li></ul>

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent management and supervisory skills, ability to lead and make decisions.

Chief Financial Officer

<div>CNA/Ward Clerk position on the Med/Surg Floor. This is a PRN position to support staffing needs. 12 hour shifts (7 - 7) nights, days, weekends and holidays as needed. Shift differential paid for night shift and for weekend shift. 
Title: Nursing Assistant/Ward Clerk
Primary Function and Relationship to Total Organization:
Assists nurses in providing nursing care. Works under the direct supervision of an RN. Assists by performing clerical duties within the nursing unit and acting as a receptionist. 
Reports To:
Inpatient Care Director/Registered Nurse 
Supervises:
None 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
 1. Bathes, feeds and cares for patients according to the level of skill and as directed by a nurse.
 2. Reports all significant information to nurse in charge of the patient.
 3. Works with the interdisciplinary team within the organization.
 4. Does cleaning of patient units, equipment, and nursing service areas.
 5. Keeps nurse informed of care rendered and duties performed.
 6. Answers call lights promptly and completes hourly rounding
 7. Delivers patient trays, assists in feeding patients, records amount eaten, and returns trays to kitchen.
 8. Collects and documents intake and output throughout the shift.
 9. Gives verbal report to nursing staff at end of shift. 
 10. Takes vital signs and assists with weighing patients as assigned.
 11. Assists with transferring patients by wheelchair or cart to other departments
 12. Assists patients with ambulation and other rehabilitation needs.
 13. Complies with hospital and nursing service policies.
 14. Attends staff meetings and in-service education when appropriate.
 15. Demonstrates willingness to support staffing and scheduling needs.
 16. Performs functions other than described above due to extenuating circumstances.
 17. Maintains skills in computer documentation.
 18. Assists in Long Term Care and Emergency Department when needed and census on floor allows. 
When acting as Ward Clerk:
 1. Acts as receptionist: answers telephone, operates the intercom, and answers questions of visitors as able.
 2. Delivers messages.
 3. Keeps patient charts up to date with current information.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Experience:
Hospital experience preferred.
Education:
High School education or equivalent. Training in an approved 120 hour nurse aide course or equivalent training preferred. CPR certification within 3 months of employment.
