POSITION DESCRIPTIONHunter Properties is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of our apartment communities. This role is responsible for completing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, and common areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who can work independently, follow established procedures, and observe all health and safety guidelines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES&middot; Complete resident work orders in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.&middot; Perform general maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to:o Plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.o HVAC troubleshooting and basic repairs consistent with certification and training.o Drywall repair, painting, and carpentry.o Appliance repair, installation, and replacement.&middot; Assist with apartment turns, including preparing vacant units for new residents.&middot; Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.&middot; Maintain the cleanliness and safety of common areas, hallways, and exterior grounds.&middot; Assist with seasonal responsibilities, including snow removal and salting.&middot; Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times.&middot; Communicate clearly with the Maintenance Supervisor and Leasing Office staff regarding work order status and property needs.&middot; Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues when scheduled.&middot; Perform other duties as assigned to support property operations.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSEducation &amp; Experience&middot; High school diploma or GED required.&middot; Prior experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field is preferred.Skills &amp; Competencies&middot; Working knowledge of general maintenance processes and repair methods.&middot; Familiarity with hand and power tools, appliances, and basic building systems.&middot; Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.&middot; Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.&middot; Willingness to learn new skills and follow established procedures.&middot; Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.License/Certification:&middot; Driver&rsquo;s License (Required)&middot; HVAC Certification (Preferred)&middot; Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.EMPLOYMENT DETAILS&middot; Job Type: Full-time&middot; Participation in an on-call rotation is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS&middot; Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.&middot; Ability to safely use hand and power tools.&middot; Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.BENEFITS&middot; Employee housing discount&middot; Health insurance&middot; Vision insurance&middot; Dental insurance&middot; Life insuranceJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
