Job Summary
Maintain a clean and organized school environment for the students and employees of the Huntington County Community School Corporation 
Employment Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Six months experience in the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities</li></ul>

Essential Job Duties<ul><li>Clean restrooms, locker rooms, and showers</li><li>Move and arrange furniture and equipment in preparing multipurpose rooms or classrooms for special events or meetings</li><li>Perform emergency clean-up service resulting from breakage, vandalism, spilling or illness</li><li>Perform minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs</li><li>Lock and unlock gates and doors and set security systems</li><li>Mow grass and trim lawns</li><li>Pick up paper and other debris from school grounds, walk areas, and the areas adjacent to the school facilities</li><li>Sweep concrete surfaces adjacent to the school facilities, including snow removal</li><li>Assist in receiving and distributing supplies and equipment</li><li>Take oral and written directions while working productively with fellow workers</li><li>Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and seal floors</li><li>Empty and clean waste receptacles, including trash barrels</li><li>Wash windows and walls, polish metalwork, and clean chalkboards</li><li>Vacuum rugs and carpets</li><li>Dust, wash, and polish furniture/woodwork</li><li>Replace light bulbs, lighting tubes and electrical ballasts</li><li>Clean window coverings, such as drapes and blinds</li></ul>
Assist in reporting and preventing facility vandalism<ul><li>Work safely</li><li>Perform other work and duties as assigned by the Head Custodian</li><li>Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in cleaning and maintaining a variety of surfaces, equipment and furniture</li><li>Meets all aspects of the Classified Employee Handbook</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as required</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
