Responsible for assisting the physician in patient treatment issues, providing direct patient care, and maintaining proper standards of care. Performs patient check out procedures, schedules follow up and/or referral visits and collects deductibles and co-pays. Assists physicians and resident physicians when completing physical examinations. Obtains laboratory specimens and prepares them for transport. Provides clerical support and maintains systematic initiation and follow up of scheduled events.</p>

CLN Clinic Assistant - DeKalb Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Centre, AL - Full Time

<div>Overview:
<div>
Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity and quality care to patients. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, draw up meds and give injections. Provide patient educations and support as needed to assist providers, patients and family.</div><div></div><div><br>
Answer and return phone calls pertaining to patients medical/clinical questions and concerns. Schedules patients for diagnostic tests and surgeries, Coordinates with scheduling department and patient&rsquo;s regarding tests and surgeries. Gathers and records financial and insurance information. Distributes testing and surgery information to patients.</div>

Additional Skills/Abilities:</b></div><div>
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment. Experience with GPMS/EMR is desired. BCLS must be received within the orientation period.</div>

CLN Medical Assistant Float - DeKalb Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Centre, AL - Full Time

<div>Overview:

Provides patient transport to and from and/or between nursing units and ancillary departments. Provides support to the clinical staff by maintaining linens, wheelchair access, and performs light housekeeping duties.</div>
Qualifications:

Education: </b>High School diploma or GED is preferred but not required. A minimum of Heart Saver CPR is required within 6 months of hire, with Healthcare Provider BCLS preferred.<br>
<b>Experience: </b>At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.<br>

The NP/PA provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examination, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. Also, the NP/PA assumes accountability for indirect care responsibilities, which support patient care including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement. Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Education/Licensure/Certifications: </b>HS/GED Required. Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC or credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) by the NBRC. Certification of PALS and NRP are preferred for all applicants and are mandatory within one year. Certification of BLS is preferred for hire processes and required within the orientation period, not to exceed 90 days of hire or transfer. Certification of ACLS is preferred.</div><div><b>
Experience: </b>Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation, and support of, mechanical ventilation. Additional experience relating to intubation and pediatric transport competencies are preferred upon hire.</div><div><b>
