Radiology Tech Assistant, Athens-Limestone, FT-2nd Shift

<b>Overview:</b><br>
The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.

RN Staff, Athens-Limestone, Med-Surg, 3E, FT-1st Shift

<div>Overview:
<div><b>
 </b>The nurse practitioner provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examination, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. Also, the NP assumes accountability for indirect care responsibilities, which support patient care including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement.</div>
Qualifications:

Completion of Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Successful completion of a National Certification Exam for NP, current registration through the Alabama board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners; Approval by the Athens-Limestone Hospital credentialing board; 3 years clinical experience and /2 years post masters preferred</div>

Nurse Practitioner, Athens-Limestone, Hospitalist, PRN

Under the direction of the physicians and clinical staff the Health Care Assistant(HCA) supports the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit. Additionally assists staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. Patient Care activities include vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Clerical support includes directing incoming calls and responding to patient calls, entering patient charges in the computer system, maintaining patient charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels and being responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment.</div>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
Education: </b>HS/GED required.</div><div><b>
Education preferred:</b> Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Huntsville Hospital Health Care Assistant course preferred</div><div><b>
License, Certification and/or Registration:</b> BCLS is required by the conclusion of orientation.</div><div><b>
Experience: </b>Requires previous patient care and/or two years clerical expereience with successful work history. Comparable combinations of education and experience in both clerical positions as well as patient care aide positions will be considered.</div><div><b>
Additional skills/abilities:</b> Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.</div><div><br>

Responsibilities:
