Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency - FT Triage 9a-9p<div>
Essential Responsibilities:</div><div><i>

Provides care to patients under the direction of a physician.</li><li>
Mentors, develops and trains new staff and students.</li><li>
Perform acts that are within the scope of practice as defined by the applicable licensing board.</li><li>
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in unit/department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.</li><li>
Accurately evaluate patient needs and review/maintain a comprehensive care plan within scope</li><li>
Promotes patient&rsquo;s independence by establishing patient care goals and including the patient and family in discussions regarding medical issues, testing, medications, and self-care skills.</li><li>
Provide for accurate administration and evaluation of medication, management of medication orders, and delivery of medication to patients in a timely manner.</li><li>
Educate the patient/family on physical, emotional and psychosocial aspects of care, disease process, symptom and pain management, and signs and symptoms of death (when appropriate).</li><li>
Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.</li><li>
Observes the patients&rsquo; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual conditions and reports any changes as directed.</li><li>
Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.</li><li>
Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).</li><li>
Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.</li></ul></div></div></div><div></div><div>

Minimum Qualifications:</div><div>
Required Education and Experience</div><ul><li>
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)</li></ul><div>
Required License/Certifications/Registrations</div><ul><li><div>
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or compact state.</div></li><li><div>
Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.</div></li><li><div>
ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be required per department/entity policy.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualifications:</div><div>
