Job Summary:
As a Carpenter Foreman 1, you&rsquo;ll take the lead in managing a specialty trim crew, driving quality work, and keeping projects on track. This hands-on role combines leadership and craftsmanship &mdash; guiding team members, coordinating tasks, and ensuring safety and precision on every job site. It&rsquo;s a chance to put your expertise to work while building results you can be proud of.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
 Lead and mentor self-perform crew members, setting production goals and resolving conflicts.</li><li>
 Plan and schedule daily activities, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.</li><li>
 Manage, productivity requirements, and material or consumables procurement.</li><li>
 Track schedules with 3-week look-aheads and participate in weekly foreman meetings.</li><li>
 Enforce safety protocols, lead toolbox talks, and complete hazard analyses.</li><li>
 Monitor and ensure quality control for all self-perform work.</li><li>
 Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate records, including time entry and as-built updates.</li><li>
 Support other crews and complete additional tasks as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Education and Experience:<ul><li>
 High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>
 5+ years of experience working in carpentry or related experience required; other relevant experience may be considered.</li></ul>
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
 Strong understanding of OSHA and Hutton safety protocols (OSHA 10 certified; fall protection competent).</li><li>
 Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with teams and trade partners.</li><li>
 Understanding of general construction build sequence.&bull; Skilled in blueprint and shop drawing interpretation, layout accuracy, and trim carpentry techniques.</li><li>
 Proficient in using hand and power tools, including levels, lasers, drills, and sanders, etc.</li><li>
 Certified to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts.</li><li>
 Reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.</li><li>
 Detail-oriented with experience in repetitive tasks and training others.</li></ul>
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
 Prior experience working in commercial construction environments with children present.</li><li>
 Ability to track budgets.</li><li>
 Ability to perform Takeoff</li><li>
 Familiarity with Bluebeam/ digital blueprints.</li><li>
 OSHA 30 Certification.</li><li>
 Bilingual &ndash; Spanish/English</li></ul>
Work Environment:<ul><li>
 You will work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.</li><li>
 Work may require night shift/travel.</li><li>
 Jobsite could be noisy and/or dusty.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
 Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:</li><li>
Lift, push or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. (25 lbs. consistently).</li><li>
Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions on a frequent basis.</li><li>
Climb to unlimited heights on ladders or scaffolds.</li><li>
Operate machinery that vibrates (drills, sanders, jackhammers, etc.) on a repetitive basis.</li><li>
Perform tasks that require gross and fine hand motions and coordination.</li><li>
Perform tasks that require clear and sharp vision.</li></ul>
