Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispatch Technician to join our long-term care pharmacy team. The Dispatch Technician is responsible for preparing, organizing, and coordinating the delivery of prescription medications and supplies to long-term care facilities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and organize prescription orders for delivery to long-term care facilities.</li><li>Verify accuracy of outgoing medication orders, packaging, and patient information before dispatch.</li><li>Prioritize and schedule deliveries according to route plans and facility needs.</li><li>Communicate effectively with drivers, pharmacists, and staff to ensure smooth delivery operations.</li><li>Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and documentation per state and federal regulations.</li><li>Ensure proper storage and handling of medications during staging and dispatch.</li><li>Assist with tracking deliveries, resolving discrepancies, and following up on missing or delayed deliveries.</li><li>Maintain clean and organized dispatch and staging areas.</li><li>Support workflow and assist pharmacy staff during high-volume periods.</li><li>Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and all pharmacy regulatory guidelines.</li></ul>Requirements :<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Previous experience in a pharmacy, medical logistics, or delivery/dispatch role preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Basic computer and data entry skills required.</li><li>Knowledge of pharmacy operations and HIPAA compliance preferred.</li><li>Pharmacy setting; may involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $18.00 per hourExpected hours: 25 &ndash; 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
