<p></p><div><div>The OSP Supervisor will perform critical tasks that ensure quality installation and upgrades of the fiber network. This position reports to the Project Manager.</div><p></p><div><br>
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</div><ul><li><div>
Recruits and trains new staff</div></li><li><div>
Oversees the daily workflow of the department</div></li><li><div>
Oversees Time and Attendance duties, e.g., approving timecards</div></li><li><div>
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations</div></li><li><div>
Provides Management direction and counseling</div></li><li><div>
Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy</div></li></ul><p></p><div><br>
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</div><ul><li><div>
Prepare or oversee the design of the Outside Plant Fiber Network from beginning with Design through to a fully constructible job package to final As-Built completion in associated inventory systems</div></li><li><div>
Solicit and award installation jobs</div></li><li><div>
Manage the project materials procurement cycle</div></li><li><div>
Monitor installation subcontractor performance in accordance with:</div><ul><li><div>
SoW, Schedule, Budget, and Quality</div></li></ul></li><li><div>
Prepare and submit status reports to customer and management</div></li><li><div>
Support field and network engineers during testing phase as required</div></li><li><div>
Handle distribution of work assignments, develop project completion dates, review and redline work prints</div></li><li><div>
Client support and development including completion of job status tracking reports, client meetings</div></li><li><div>
Assist Project Manager with coordination and execution of surveys, design reviews, and close-out packages</div></li><li><div>
Review project tracking reports to determine if projects are within budget and hitting targets</div></li><li><div>
Preparation of reports in response to queries from the finance department</div></li><li><div>
Prepare and update network documentation based on changes in network topology</div></li><li><div>
Program manage OSP schedules and performance</div></li></ul><p></p><div><br>

Basic knowledge of fiber optic theory Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans, document daily records and reports</div></li><li><div>
Ability to manage remote teams to complete designated amount of work in a specified time frame (e. g. , quality jobs per day), adjusting work assignments or schedules to meet changing work-related priorities or demands.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to climb and work at elevations (e. g. , from ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work in confined spaces (e. g. , crawl spaces, utility holes)</div></li><li><div>
Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including, but not limited to: lifting objects weighing over 70 pounds</div></li><li><div>
Ability to perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e. g. , extreme cold and/or heat, inclement weather)</div></li><li><div>
When working aloft, employee's weight and tools combined may not exceed the 280-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer</div></li><li><div>
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, contractors, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner</div></li><li><div>

Safely using weight-bearing equipment (such as safety harness and ladders) within the maximum weight limitations of that equipment</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrating a high level of maturity and leadership</div></li><li><div>
Ability to deal with ambiguity, work in a dynamic fluid environment and effectively cope with change</div></li><li><div>
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (motor vehicle, drug, and background)</div></li></ul><p></p><div><br>
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE</div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent work experience</div></li><li><div>
Valid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record</div></li><li><div>
1-3+ years of operations management experience installing and maintaining fiber optic products and services</div></li><li><div>
1-2+ years managerial experience of small, remote, field based teams</div></li><li><div>
Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification preferred</div></li></ul><p></p><div><br>
WORKING CONDITIONS</div><ul><li><div>
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours including weekends</div></li><li><div>
Working outdoors in all types of weather</div></li><li><div>
Exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels</div></li></ul><p></p><div><br>
