 We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support for all company desktops, laptops, and user accounts. This role will ensure our devices remain secure, up-to-date, and compliant by leveraging Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Defender.
 
 
 The ideal candidate will be hands-on, user-focused, and able to resolve issues quickly while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
 
 
 
 This is an in-office position that will be in Sterling, VA
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 User &amp; Device Support
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS devices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to support requests and resolve user issues promptly.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Account &amp; Access Management
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assist with account creation, updates, and deactivation in Microsoft Entra ID.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support MFA and conditional access policies to maintain secure logins.
 </li>
 <li>
 Help users with password resets, login issues, and device enrollment.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Endpoint Management
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Use Microsoft Intune to enroll devices, apply configuration profiles, and ensure compliance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deploy and update software and security patches across all endpoints.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor device health and security status using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Security &amp; Compliance
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Follow security best practices for devices and accounts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate and remediate endpoint security alerts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure devices remain compliant with company policies.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Documentation &amp; Process Improvement
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Keep accurate records of troubleshooting steps, configurations, and device inventory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 Required
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 1+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support role.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of Windows 10/11; macOS experience a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and customer service skills.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Preferred
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-900, or SC-900.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience supporting mobile devices in an MDM environment.
 
 
 
 </li>
