Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.I2X Technologies is seeking a Project Cost Accountant to support ongoing activities at our corporate office in Littleton, CO. This position will be onsite for 60 days, and hybrid thereafter. Target Start date mid-late March.<ul><li>Manage project-level accounting for government contracts in accordance with FAR, CAS, and company policies.</li><li>Track, reconcile, and report project costs, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and indirect expenses.</li><li>Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, funding availability and contract compliance.</li><li>Ensure purchases align with contract terms, approved budgets, forecasts and cost variance analysis.</li><li>Coordinate with Program Managers on project budgets, forecasts, and cost variance analysis.</li><li>Monitor contract funding, burn rates, and ceilings, alert leadership to potential overruns.</li><li>Prepare and support monthly project billings (cost-plus, T&amp;M, or fixed-price as applicable).</li><li>Assist with incurred cost submissions, audits, and government inquiries (e.g., DCAA)</li><li>Reconcile project accounting data with the general ledger.</li><li>Maintain documentation to support audit readiness and internal controls</li><li>Collaborate with contracts, business unit and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Accounting</li><li>5+ Years of accounting experience with purchasing, procurement, or PO processing.</li></ul>Desired Experience and Skills<ul><li>Significant hands-on experience with purchasing, procurement, or PO processing.</li><li>Working knowledge of FAR and cost allowability principles.</li><li>Experience with project accounting and job costing.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.</li><li>Strong Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Experience supporting audits (DCAA or similar) preferred.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with program, contracts, and businiess unit teams.</li><li>Government contractor ERP experience preferred.</li></ul>Essential Requirements:US Citizenship is required.In compliance with Colorado&rsquo;s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed . Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds.
