<div>Summary:
The primary role of the Maintenance Director is to direct and conduct physical plant maintenance and grounds upkeep at a nursing home. Maintenance includes building improvements, grounds, utilities, and mechanical/electric systems.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Manages maintenance staff and ensures assigned building, grounds and facilities are maintained at all times.</li><li>
Reviews and maintains preventive maintenance logs and ensure that preventative maintenance is being done on a regularly scheduled basis.</li><li>
Responsible for providing training and development to all maintenance staff such as basic plumbing and electrical in accordance with regulations and company policies.</li><li>
Ensures that all repair work is completed on wheelchairs, beds, furniture, dryers, air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, floors, and ceilings.</li><li>
With Administrator oversight, is responsible for Maintenance staff employee relations.</li><li>
Works closely with the Administrator to manage and operate within the allotted budget, including ordering supplies and equipment and planning for future projects.</li><li>
Maintains a positive and respectful attitude towards management, residents, employees, and visitors.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
A minimum of four years&rsquo; experience in maintenance work, required.</li><li>
Experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, plant maintenance and HVAC, required.</li><li>
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel, required.</li><li>
Knowledge of state and federal building codes, required.</li><li>
Supervisory experience in the maintenance field, required.</li><li>
Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required.</li></ul><div>
