ICP Group is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for our Seaford, DE plant. Under the guidance of the Plant Manager direct and oversee production operations of an asphalt manufacturing plant, ensuring that products meet the quality and service expected from our customers. Assist in the continuous improvement of ICP&rsquo;s manufacturing and operating procedures, developing, and mentoring personnel in these assigned areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Track raw material on hand to maintain material stock levels to support production schedule.</li><li>
Support Safety and Health guidelines and facilitate a culture of safety that is evident in both visual observations and documented processes and procedures.</li><li>
Ensure the production area meets all required regulatory Safety (OSHA) and Environmental (EPA Federal, State and Local) requirements and key staff are knowledgeable of those requirements through routine training.</li><li>
Train and coach production staff on safe and proper execution of their responsibilities.</li><li>
Monitor quality of all production ensuring quality tests are performed, standards are met, and non-compliant material is addressed immediately.
</li><li>Assist in the scheduling of the plant and staff workload while maximizing plant efficiency.</li><li>
Help train operators to support Autonomous Maintenance of the production areas to eliminate downtime and yield loss.</li><li>
Maintain effective level of accuracy per item count of raw material and finished goods inventories by implementing and maintaining exceptional production controls in terms of material usage and yield reporting.</li><li>
Provide input to the Plant Manager for the development of continuous improvement initiatives at the facility and operational capital projects by providing ideas, data and resources.</li><li>
Help production and plant Mangers establish performance goals and targets with subsequent follow up and coaching sessions aimed at improving employee&rsquo;s skillset.</li><li>
Ensure production areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion by building a culture that understands and supports those activities.</li><li>
Monitor KPI&rsquo;s daily to maintain expected levels of performance.</li><li>
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and train staff. Ensure that those procedures are followed once established and reviewed / updated periodically to maintain good management of change practices.</li><li>
Provide weekly updates to management outlining plant objectives and accomplishments.</li><li>
Coordinate with the Production Manager and corporate lab to perform plant trials as a function of product development.</li><li>
Establish cost savings targets and communicate progress.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
2 years in a manufacturing management/supervisory/lead role.</li><li>
Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP.</li><li>
Experience with batch operations particularly with a chemical nature.</li><li>
Knowledge of Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements associated with manufacturing.</li><li>
Exhibit a strong problem-solving and continuous improvement aptitude.</li><li>
Ability to use various math calculations to validate materials required, products produced and inventory quantities.</li><li>
Effective communicator able to motivate employees through actions and proven leadership.</li><li>
Have good ability to coordinate and delegate tasks to be able to meet production schedule in a effective and efficient manner</li><li>
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment where English may not be the first language.</li><li>
Must be able to work in a plant environment with varying levels of temperature and physical requirements.</li><li>
Required to work overtime as needed.</li></ul>
