 PURPOSE OF THE JOB
 
 
 
 The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support and overall assistance to Claims Examiners. This position exists to ensure the timely payment of benefits and administration of claims in compliance with state law.
 
 
 
 Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Delivers basic to intermediate administrative support to Claims Examiners.
 
 
 <ul>

 Contacts insured or other involved persons to obtain necessary information to process claim.
 </li>
 <li>
 Documents conversations or information on appropriate enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Organizes and works with Examiner using computer to enter, access, search and retrieve data.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stays current with diary tasks and procedural changes.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Imparts exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including insureds.

 Provides information to insureds, injured workers or provides referrals to outside vendors as requested by the Examiner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Processes claims for indemnity payments and state mandated forms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Processes non-medical payments.
 </li>

 Organizes and works with Examiner using computer to enter, access, search, and retrieve data.

 Assists Claims Examiner with complete post-claims resolution and related administrative projects.

 Schedules appropriate medical appointments, calculates mileage and sends appointment letter reminders.

 Interacts with nurse on case management regarding return to work status.

 Basic understanding of office procedures. Solid customer service, phone and time management skills. Excellent data entry, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize assignments. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Scrum Master facilitates and guides the agile practice within the product development teams. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Scrum framework is effectively implemented, fostering collaboration, removing obstacles, and promoting continuous improvement between cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the development projects and facilitates sprint execution to ensure quality and timeliness.
<ul><li>Facilitates Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-up, sprint and release planning, sprint review, and retrospectives for one or more product teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and progress tracking.</li>
<li>Collaborates with Product Owners to prioritize and groom the product backlog, ensuring it reflects business priorities, is well-defined, and ready for execution.</li>
<li>Guides team in time estimating practices utilizing techniques like Planning Poker and facilitates team estimates and conversations around any differences that may crop up.</li>
<li>Supports the development team in maintaining and updating Agile boards, backlog, and sprint artifacts in Agile tools (e.g., JIRA) to track progress and ensure transparency.</li>
<li>Removes impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress, proactively identifies and addresses risks, and escalates issues as needed to ensure that deliverables are on time with production quality.</li>
<li>Performs regular analysis of burndown charts and other portfolio planning tools to track velocity, team capacity, scope changes, escaped defects etc.</li>
</ul>Manages project level risks and challenges to foster transparency and collaboration.
<ul><li>Facilitates internal communication and keeps project stakeholders up to date on progress of projects and works collaboratively to resolve people problems and project roadblocks.</li>
<li>Represents the team at broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums), and protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work.</li>
<li>Presents high level Sprint and Program Increment execution report for product managers.</li>
<li>Works with multiple development vendor partners to build scalable products and development lifecycle processes.</li>
</ul>Supports scrum teams to adopt and follow agile values, principles, and practices.
<ul><li>Advocates for Agile values and principles within the organization.</li>
<li>Contributes to the advancement of agile practices and guides development teams to higher scrum maturity.</li>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred with a major or emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar role required. Leadership experience required. Experience in agile practices, patterns, and techniques.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Scrum Master required, SAFe required, version 6 preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong knowledge of scrum theory, rules, and practices. Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions. Knowledge of insurance preferred. Strong analytical skills, ability to create compelling business cases; ability to provide input for cost/effort estimates and financial analysis. Team-oriented focus; ability to conduct effective meetings with business and project teams; ability to create and interpret user needs into specifications, user stories, flowcharts, UML diagrams, etc. Highly competent in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical industry-related journals and DOI filings. Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards. Knowledge of Modeling Techniques: Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams). Good understanding of data management and database concepts. In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Scrum, Waterfall and/or Hybrid) and demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications. Intermediate knowledge of SQL and intermediary working knowledge of excel (e.g., Data cleaning, manipulation, and reporting). Working knowledge of API standards for communicating and integration between applications.
