Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday
Training Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday

The Role:
As a Laboratory Analyst 2, you play a key role in performing a variety of moderate and waived testing to include screening toxicology drug analysis, in a clinic or laboratory setting. Additional responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Analyzes patient specimens by performing and verifying diagnostic medical laboratory tests and following department protocols.</li><li>
Makes independent decisions relating to patient testing and prioritization of testing.</li><li>
Processes, packages, and ships specimens to be transported to the main laboratory for further testing.</li><li>
Performs and reports quality control on all instrumentation before reporting test results following established quality control policies and procedures.</li><li>
Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of instruments and equipment and documents appropriately.</li><li>
Verifies all normal and abnormal results, correlates abnormal test results with other patient data, seeks pathologist or manager consultation if necessary, and notifies appropriate medical staff of test results.</li><li>
Maintains patients' medical records and verifies accuracy.</li><li>
Assists in ordering laboratory supplies and necessities to maintain appropriate level of inventory.</li><li>
Performs and reports routine and STAT laboratory tests of moderate complexity.</li><li>
Complies with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.</li><li>
Maintains continual sustained attendance.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>
Associate or bachelor's degree in science with at least 24 semester hours in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science or a combination.</li><li>
Attention to detail, specimen processing, immunoassay instrumentation.</li></ul>
Preferred<ul><li>
1 year experience in a clinical laboratory setting.</li></ul></div>
