Founded in 1981, IEC has a proven track record of over 43 years and continues to grow by acquiring new communities and offering development opportunities to our team members.Position Summary:IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 166-unit apartment community in Napa, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, takes initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain the cleanliness of the property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, including the fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ.</li><li>Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.</li><li>Sweep the dumpster areas.</li><li>Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned.</li><li>Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.</li><li>Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.</li><li>Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect.</li><li>Ad-hoc assignments as needed.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines</li><li>Facilities maintenance experience</li><li>At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community</li><li>Customer service-oriented</li><li>Availability to work Monday - Friday </li><li>Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and Regional support</li></ul>IEC offers a competitive compensation package, including:<ul><li>Company paid healthcare premiums at 100%, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up.</li><li>401(k) Plan, with 4% company match</li><li>Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts</li><li>Company paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up.</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Company Paid Holidays</li><li>Employee Assistance Plan</li><li>Employee Discounts</li><li>Commuter Benefit</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday - Friday 8:00am &ndash; 5:00pm</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Have you used an apartment management software for work orders?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>multi-family property maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Residential painting: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Plumbing: 1 year (Required)</li><li>completing turns: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
