<div><p><b>About the Opportunity</b></p><p>
The Procurement Manager the procurement and inventory of production and non-production materials, equipment, and/or services in accordance with corporate objectives including quality, price, and continuity. This role balances supply with demand, manages the day to day purchasing operational activities and develops, plans, and executes innovative sourcing strategies while strengthening supplier relationships.</p><p><b>
In this role, the successful candidate:</b></p><ul><li>
Provides guidance with internal stakeholders in regards to purchasing, supplier complications, legal and quality compliances issues.</li><li>
Develops, implements, and monitors supplier performance programs.</li><li>
Ensures purchase orders and contracts meet legal and quality standards.</li><li>
Ensures supply availability and continuity of critical components throughout product lifecycles (New Product Introduction to End of Life).</li><li>
Identifies and mitigates supply chain risks, part shortages and supply disruptions.</li><li>
Mitigates raw material shortages and obsolescence.</li><li>
Develops and implements strategic sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect/capex categories.</li><li>
Focuses on supply continuity by improving organization structures, identifying and standardize duties, tasks, business processes, metrics (KPI&rsquo;s) and system enhancements.</li><li>
Motivates and coaches employees by assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.</li><li>
Delegates tasks and manages progress to ensure successful completion of department objectives.</li><li>
Creates and reinforces a culture of teamwork and actively resolves conflicts within the team.</li><li>
Manages proactively by holding regular 1on1s and team meetings to ensure open lines of communication and professional development for direct reports.</li></ul><ul><li>
Identifies and monitors savings, cost avoidance, and improvements in payment terms.</li><li>
Maintains updated supplier file requirements required for compliance to CFR 820.5, ISO 13485 and other MDSAP Quality requirements.</li><li>
Manages the procurement raw material spend and departmental budgets.</li><li>
Introduces and implements ESI (Early Supply Involvement) in new product launches.</li><li>

What does it take to be successful?</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of seven years&rsquo; experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.</li><li>
Professional certification in Supply Chain preferred, APICS or ISM Certified.</li><li>
5-7 years of people management experience.</li><li>
Experience as a Purchasing Manager or Supply Chain Manager.</li><li>
Strong knowledge and use of ERP Systems, QAD Manufacturing preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing, Kanban, VMI, MRP and other supplier portal replenishment processes.</li><li>
Excellent problem solving skills.</li><li>
Experience with A3, Six Sigma, PDCA and other quality toolkits</li><li>
Experience working in cross functional teams to solve manufacturing, quality, engineering and supply management issues.</li><li>
Ability to operate with Lean Manufacturing requirements.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in remediation, corrective actions to comply or improve CFR 820.5 Purchasing Controls and or ISO 13485 Purchasing requirements</li><li>
Proficiency in mentoring, training, and coaching Buyers in a strategic and tactical role.</li><li>
Understanding of contractual terms, terms of conditions, non-disclosure agreements and other supply agreements.</li></ul><ul><li>
Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training.</li><li>

Procurement Manager

Creates, reviews, amends, and maintains attainable and effective manufacturing schedules for assigned products and product families, which has a significant impact on customer service and shop floor activity. Candidate must possess highly advanced mathematical and analytical skills and experience, be a creative thinker with the ability to make sound decisions with our customers in mind.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Executes ERP and the timely creation of shop orders to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired levels and maintain flow of work on the factory floor.</li><li>
Utilizes system tools inclusive of material requirements planning and capacity planning to ensure that the supply chain is effective in meeting the needs of our customers while maintaining required delivery and inventory goals.</li><li>
Communicates and coordinates with production supervisors and purchasing team to ensure schedule adherence and recovery if required.</li><li>
Initiates and participates in continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management.</li><li>
Reviews and maintains QAD data integrity inclusive of routings and bill of material accuracy.</li><li>
Manages and maintains inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, along with ensuring customer reliability and meeting target inventory turns.</li><li>
Tracks progression of production orders, investigate factors that affect schedules, and modify plans as necessary.</li><li>
Expedites critical orders throughout the supply chain.</li><li>
Informs management of potential production problems and assist in the implementation of both short- and long-term solutions.</li><li>
Analyzes forecasted demand to ensure safety stock and strategic inventory levels on finished goods are maintained.</li><li>
Performs planning functions required to achieve the timely and successful launch of new products and participates as assigned on new product development teams.</li><li>

Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Data Analysis &amp; Mathematics strongly preferred.</li><li>
3+ years of experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing environment using advanced mathematical and analytical tools and concepts.</li><li>
APICS/CPIM certification preferred.</li><li>
Experience using QAD, preferred or SAP (forecasting tools and system overall).</li><li>
Experience in ERP &amp; Kanban Planning.</li><li>
Experience using analytical spreadsheet tools as well as other MS Office applications.</li><li>
Experience working with Microsoft Access and writing queries to analyze data.</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interface with production, customer service, and management.</li><li>
Ability to conceptualize, define and resolve complex problems.</li><li>
Excellent analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills.</li><li>
