Job Description:As an ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Estimation Engineer, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of projects that involve systems such as security, communication, audio-visual, and other low voltage systems. Your expertise will be essential to accurately estimate project costs, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Cost Estimation:</li><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for ELV systems including materials, labor, and overheads.</li><li>Analyze blueprints, specifications, and scope of work to determine project requirements and costs.</li><li>Bid Preparation:</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive proposals and bids for ELV projects.</li><li>Review tender documents and provide suggestions for improving competitiveness.</li><li>Technical Support:</li><li>Support the engineering team in selecting appropriate systems and solutions based on client needs and project specifications.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and technological advancements relevant to ELV systems.</li><li>Project Coordination:</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and product information.</li><li>Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.</li><li>Documentation:</li><li>Maintain organized records of all estimation documents, including calculations, quotes, and correspondence with suppliers.</li><li>Prepare reports and presentations for internal use and client discussions.</li><li>Risk Analysis:</li><li>Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies.</li><li>Evaluate design modifications to assess cost implications and feasibility.</li><li>Collaboration:</li><li>Work closely with project managers, designers, and installation teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients to clarify requirements and provide updates on estimation progress.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in ELV systems estimation and project management.</li><li>Strong understanding of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, intercom, and structured cabling systems.</li><li>Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent analytical and numerical skills.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to ELV installations.</li><li>Experience with project management tools and methodologies.</li><li>Certification in estimation or relevant fields is a plus.</li></ul>Work Environment:This position may require occasional site visits to assess project requirements and monitor installations.
