Job Description &ndash; Barge Doctor (Offshore)Position: Barge Doctor MBBS Location: Offshore Barge Employment Type: Contract Reports To: Barge Master / Offshore Medical CoordinatorRole Overview:The Barge Doctor will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care and emergency response to all personnel onboard the barge.Offshore (Barge/Rig/Vessel) medical experience is compulsory. Applications without prior offshore experience will not be considered.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide 24/7 primary healthcare and emergency medical support onboard the barge.</li><li>Manage trauma, accidents, occupational illnesses, and critical care cases until evacuation.</li><li>Ensure availability and compliance of the medical chest, medicines, and emergency equipment as per offshore/flag regulations.</li><li>Conduct routine health checks and consultations for crew and personnel.</li><li>Maintain confidential medical records and health reports for the company.</li><li>Support HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) compliance by participating in drills and emergency preparedness exercises.</li><li>Provide health awareness, hygiene, and preventive healthcare guidance to onboard staff.</li><li>Ensure proper bio-medical waste management as per offshore guidelines.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements (Mandatory):<ul><li>MBBS/MD degree with valid medical registration/license.</li><li>Minimum 3&ndash;5 years of clinical experience (general practice, trauma, or emergency medicine).</li><li>Minimum 1&ndash;2 years of offshore medical experience on Barge / Rig / Vessel &ndash; COMPULSORY</li><li>Valid OGUK / PEME medical fitness certificate.</li><li>Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ITLS/ATLS (mandatory).</li><li>Strong ability to work independently in remote offshore environments.</li></ul>Contract Details:<ul><li>Contract Type: Fixed-term / Project-based (Offshore Barge)</li><li>Accommodation &amp; Meals: Provided onboard.</li><li>Insurance: Comprehensive medical &amp; life insurance as per company policy.</li><li>Salary: Attractive, based on offshore medical experience.</li></ul>Job Type: Contractual / Temporary Contract length: 8 monthsBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li></ul>Work Location: In person
