Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely to designated locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various truck types and driving techniques, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to follow all DOT regulations and safely drive a Straight Truck. This includes the following:Pre-check and post-check truck inspectionsTo follow all posted speed limits and driving lawsAbility to pass and Secure a DOT Medical ExamTo safely navigate truck and not place vehicle in situations that will cause damage or cause the vehicle to become inoperableTo complete final mile deliveries of household and commercial products to residential customers within a 150-mile radius of our base operationsThe driver will be responsible for communicating with customers and providing superior delivery experience for all of our clientsProtecting and securing all loads to ensure no damage occurs in transitAbility to use provided equipment to protect and safely deliver merchandise without causing property damageTo complete deliveries with varied service levels including the following: delivery to the door, threshold deliveries (through the door)Assist in loading and securing merchandise in trucks for daily deliveriesTo complete and assist with all deliveriesAbility to lift 75 lbsTo effectively communicate with managementAll other duties that are assignedRequired Work Experience:Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; commercial driving experience with references of equipment drivenCustomer service backgroundMechanical or technical background preferredPreferred background in furniture or home appliance deliveryQualifications:Ability to pass a 50-state criminal background checkMust pass a drug test and will be required to submit to random DOT drug testing and alcohol testingMust have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record with no moving violations21 years of age or olderFlexible and ability to adjust to situations that present themselves dailyMechanically inclinedTechnical requirements for updating route software and ensuring all delivery paperwork is filled out correctlyJob Type: ContractPay: From $950.00 per weekTrucking Driver Type:<ul><li>Company driver</li><li>Owner-operator</li></ul>Trucking Route:<ul><li>Local</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Tallahassee, FL 32304 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
