Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our financial health by maintaining precise bookkeeping practices, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving organization committed to excellence and integrity in financial management.Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. </li><li>Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation. </li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial accounts. </li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections. </li><li>Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). </li><li>Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. </li><li>Support budgeting activities and provide insights through account analysis to aid strategic decision-making. </li><li>Ensure compliance with double entry bookkeeping standards and maintain thorough documentation of all transactions. </li><li>Perform month-end closing procedures and assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments. </li><li>Proficiency with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. </li><li>Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation. </li><li>Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is highly desirable. </li><li>Experience with bank reconciliation, payroll processing, and tax-related activities is preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of technical accounting principles including general ledger accounting and account analysis. </li><li>Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
