Purpose of the Role 
To drive sales growth and support customers by combining deep technical knowledge of food ingredients with commercial engagement. The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships, promoting IMCD&rsquo;s ingredient portfolio, and providing technical formulation support in targeted food and beverage sectors. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Sales &amp; Customer Development 
Manage and grow sales with existing and new customers across focus segments (e.g., dairy, bakery, beverages, sauces, supplements). 
Identify customer needs and present value-based solutions using IMCD&rsquo;s ingredient portfolio. 
Achieve assigned sales targets, gross margin goals, and project pipeline KPIs. 
Technical Support &amp; Solution Selling 
Act as a trusted advisor to customer R&amp;D teams by offering formulation guidance, troubleshooting, and application suggestions. 
Deliver technical presentations and support sampling and trials in collaboration with IMCD&rsquo;s application labs or supplier teams. 
Stay updated on ingredient functionalities, food trends, and regulatory constraints relevant to customer needs. 
Supplier Engagement &amp; Portfolio Promotion 
Maintain strong technical knowledge of IMCD&rsquo;s supplier portfolio and align on strategy, product focus, and priorities. 
Provide market feedback and project updates to suppliers through structured reports and meetings. 
Participate in joint visits or events with supplier representatives when required. 
Reporting &amp; Pipeline Management 
Maintain accurate project updates, customer interactions, and forecasts in CRM (e.g., Salesforce). 
Provide monthly reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor insights. 
Contribute to budget planning, demand forecasting, and go-to-market initiatives. 
 
Key Competencies and Skills 
Strong technical background in food science or technology 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach 
Ability to understand and explain complex ingredient functionalities and applications 
Commercial awareness and negotiation skills 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus 
Fluent in English and Arabic 
 
Education and Experience 
Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Nutrition 
4&ndash;7 years of experience in technical sales, application support, or product development in the food ingredients industry 
Exposure to B2B sales and working with international suppliers is a plus 
Knowledge of regional food regulations and labeling requirements is an advantage</div>

Responsibilities and Required Skills:<ul><li>Knowledge of import (plus, if possible, export)
</li><li>Strict monitoring and control of import documents and permits
</li><li>Familiarity with import documents (Authorized Economic Operator Certificate/AEO knowledge is a plus)
</li><li>Proficiency in written and spoken English (position involves frequent phone meetings)</li><li>Use or familiarity with ERP systems, as well as utilization of various online portals (SF, CRM, etc.)
</li><li>Regular follow-up with customs consultants and shipping companies</li><li>Regular tracking of open orders and those in customs
</li><li>Opening Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for orders with discrepancies and tracking Corrective Actions (CN)
</li><li>Tracking import orders, ranging from 35 to 45 per month</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach</li></ul> 
Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years of experience in import
</li><li>Preferably from the chemical sector
</li><li>Experience with the import operations of international shipping companies is a plus</li></ul>

To provide technical support to pharmaceutical customers and the commercial team by offering formulation expertise, product recommendations, and training. The Technical specialist supports business development by bridging the gap between science and sales, ensuring technically sound and regulatory-compliant solutions. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Technical Support &amp; Formulation Development 
Provide technical advice and formulation guidance to customers across different dosage forms (e.g., oral solids, injectables, inhalation, topicals).
