What you will do</p>
<p>As an <b>AI‑for‑Chip‑Design Engineer</b>, you will work at the intersection of<b> advanced SoC design</b> and<b> AI‑enabled design acceleration</b>.<br>
<br>
Your mission is to accelerate SoC design by introducing, developing, and operationalizing AI‑driven methodologies across the chip design flow. You will work closely with design, and AI experts across imec&rsquo;s global network while contributing to the growth of imec&rsquo;s Qatar design activities.<br>
<br>
You will:</p><ul><li>
Work with state‑of‑the‑art SoC and packaging technologies.</li><li>
Accelerate chip design flows through: Assessment and integration of advanced EDA tools, development of new design methodologies leveraging imec know‑how., and identification of high‑impact use cases where AI and LLMs can significantly improve ASIC and chiplet design.</li><li>
Collaborate with AI experts to define and execute an AI‑aided design roadmap, from concept development to proof‑of‑concepts and operational deployment.</li><li>
Contribute to the industrialization of AI‑assisted design flows applicable across multiple technology domains.</li><li>
Actively contribute to the<b> local and regional ecosystem</b> in Qatar through collaboration with internal teams, academic partners, and industry stakeholders.</li></ul>

<p>Who you are</p>
<ul><li>You hold an <b>MSc in Microelectronics or a related field</b>.</li><li>
You are a digital / functional chip design engineer (from system specification to verified RTL, IP integration and documentation. Digital Physical Design background is an asset.</li><li>
You are proficient in scripting and automating design flows.</li><li>
You have a strong interest in optimizing design flows and reducing design cycles.</li><li>
You have a<b> basic to solid background in AI</b> and are motivated to further apply AI techniques to chip design (existing experience is a strong asset).</li><li>
You have a good foundation in software programming and are familiar with code, data, and model versioning tools.</li></ul><p><i>

<p>Your role</p>
<p>As Senior Strategic Partnership Manager, you are part of imec&rsquo;s global business and partnership team and act as a senior business interface between imec and its strategic partners. Your focus is on large multinational corporations (F1000&ndash;F5000) as well as deep-tech start-ups and scale-ups, with a strong emphasis on chip development and advanced design solutions.</p><p>
You will grow and deepen strategic partnerships, translate technology roadmaps into business opportunities, and contribute to the development of imec Qatar as a regional innovation hub.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities</p>
<ul><li>Drive strategic partnerships &amp; business growth<br>

Translate imec&rsquo;s R&amp;D roadmaps into client business strategies and go-to-market plans.</li><li>
Engage senior stakeholders across client organizations to develop long-term strategic partnerships.</li><li>

Lead opportunity development &amp; deal closure<br>

Lead workshops to shape value propositions and validate opportunities.</li><li>

Build long-term client intimacy<br>

<p>Your profile</p>

Strong understanding of semiconductor technologies, chip design and/or manufacturing is a major asset.</li><li>
Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships at senior levels.</li><li>
Strategic mindset with strong negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>
Existing network in the Qatar region and/or semiconductor ecosystem is highly desirable.</li><li>
Fluent in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.</li><li>
Comfortable working in an international environment and traveling up to ~30%.</li></ul><br>
