Principal Responsibilities
<ul><li>Perform basic calculations such as traffic volumes, signal timing, trip generation, and pavement quantities under supervision
</li><li>Assist with transportation infrastructure design, including roadways, intersections, signage, striping, and grading, under senior guidance
</li><li>Gather client requirements, communicate technical details, and maintain professional relationships
</li><li>Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet deadlines
</li><li>Document design decisions, relay client instructions, and track progress
</li><li>Analyze low- to medium-complexity tasks and propose solutions with senior input
</li><li>Ensure quality compliance with IMEG, industry, and client standards
</li><li>Stay current on civil engineering trends and contribute to R&amp;D efforts
</li><li>Prioritize safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and apply state/local design criteria
</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
</li></ul>Required Qualifications and Skills
<ul><li>Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required
</li><li>Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
</li><li>Engineer in Training (EIT) License preferred
</li><li>Basic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3Dsoftware and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions as quickly as possible
</li><li>Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
</li><li>Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
</li><li>Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
</li><li>Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
</li><li>Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
</li><li>Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

Transportation Engineering Graduate | Dallas, TX

<div>IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Graduate Designer in Anaheim, CA , to support a team of experienced engineers and consultants delivering civil engineering solutions that drive positive client outcomes. In this role, you&rsquo;ll assist with engineering analysis and design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading designs while learning and growing your civil engineering skillset. You&rsquo;ll also collaborate across project teams to help meet budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
<div>Principal Responsibilities &bull; Prepare designs for water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems
 
<ul><li>Prepare grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans
</li><li>Support surface modeling, water shed modeling, storm sewer design, and sanitary sewer design using engineering software
</li><li>Interact with clients to gather project requirements and communicate technical information effectively
</li><li>Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities to help meet project deadlines and objectives
</li><li>Assist with documenting design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
</li><li>Analyze low to moderate complexity engineering tasks and propose practical, efficient solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and consultants

State of California Salary Range: $83,000 &ndash; $113,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
