IMEG is growing, and we&rsquo;d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Designer in our <div>Leesburg, VA office</div>. As a Senior Civil Designer, you will lead design efforts as a project manager or lead designer for moderate to complex projects, and lead design efforts with limited support required from senior staff for the delivery of larger and high complexity projects. They will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include leading a team of Civil Engineers for engineering analysis, design and implementation oversight of Civil infrastructure and/or site plans. Additional responsibilities will include working within the project&rsquo;s monetary budget, assisting in training and mentoring efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.<br>

Principal Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Lead design efforts for the analysis of municipal infrastructure</li><li>
Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports</li><li>

Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication</li><li>
Assist in the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards</li><li>
Provide technical training and mentoring; Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff</li><li>
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering; Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG</li><li>
Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work; Interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs</li><li>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals</li><li>
Participate in project interviews and project presentations</li></ul><div><br>
Required Skills &amp; Abilities:</div><ul><li>
Lead the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards</li><li>
Ability to use and train others in associated Civil Engineering software for modeling traffic analysis, pipe networks, etc. as related to the primary responsibilities of this position</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills related to the Civil Engineering field</li><li>
Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills</li><li>
Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise</li><li>
Ability to sell work and develop client relationships</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li><li>

Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook</li><li>

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required</li><li>
10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the civil engineer consulting industry</li></ul><div>

Associates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred</li><li>

Salary Range $89,000 - $130,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. As an Electrical Project Designer you will lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects and collaborate with senior staff for the delivery of larger and high complexity projects. They will be responsible for working closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include engineering analysis, design and implementation oversight of electrical systems for buildings. This position will be expected to work within the project&rsquo;s monetary budget, train, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.</div><div></div><div>
Some key duties and responsibilities include:</div><ul><li>
Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards;</li><li>
Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication;</li><li>
Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects. Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives. Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete and fee expended;</li><li>
Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions;</li><li>
Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, and specifications. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements;</li><li>
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG;</li><li>
Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems;</li><li>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals;</li><li>
Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager;</li><li>
Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:</div><ul><li>
Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications;</li><li>
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings. Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or others; and power system analysis and design software such as SKM/PTW, Easy Power, or other. Proficiency in the use of BIM software and CTC Revit Add In Tools;</li><li>
Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards;</li><li>
Proficient with energy compliance software such as Comtech; Adobe or Bluebeam Revu; the use of reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI) (market segment dependent);</li><li>
Knowledge of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS;</li><li>
Strong training and mentoring skills;</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;</li><li>
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;</li><li>
Proficiency of Smart Engineering Design Assist (SET) Tools within Revit for electrical calculations, coordination, properties, etc.;</li><li>
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;</li><li>
