IMG are hiring an APC Director on a freelance basis t o support all aspects of the IMG studio &amp; digital production for MLS on Apple TV, providing technical proficiency and live show support throughout an exciting match day schedule of content creation.
Key Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities
The APC Director will play a vital role in supporting the studio &amp; digital programming for MLS Productions. The ideal candidate will assist in the technical execution of studio shows, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This individual should have experience in technical director roles, familiarity with the Ross Overdrive production control system, and be comfortable directing a crew of EVS, graphics and robotics operators in a hybrid production of automation and live personnel.
<ul><li>Live Show Production:
<ul><li>Execute precise coding and technical operations for MLS on Apple TV and other platforms utilizing the Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control environment and occasional manual processes.
</li><li>Provide authoritative direction to talent and other production crew members, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of broadcasts.
</li><li>Distribute necessary content across several distinct feeds.
</li><li>Maintain adaptability and readiness to undertake additional critical duties as required or assigned, contributing to the overall success of the broadcasting operation.
</li></ul></li><li>Organization &amp; Development:
<ul><li>Prepare and execute coded rundowns in collaboration with Coordinating Director and Producer.
</li><li>Develop understanding of project&rsquo;s element library and awareness of best practices for each.
</li></ul></li><li>Collaboration:
<ul><li>Collaborate with IMG team to ensure consistency across shows &ndash; from camera mapping to graphics workflows to talent positioning.
</li><li>Work closely with producers to review accuracy, feasibility, and quality of rundowns and translate them into cohesive broadcasts.
</li></ul></li></ul>Knowledge &amp; Experience
<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience working in a live studio production environment, with a focus on TD/Directing experience utilizing Ross Overdrive Production Automation
</li><li>Experience leading a control room of graphics operators, EVS/playback operators, and camera operators.
</li></ul>Skills and Abilities
<ul><li>Familiarity with virtual studios preferred.
</li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills.
</li><li>The ability to work and troubleshoot effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
To provide Accounting assistance to the Production Team - dealing with all matters that arise during the course of the Production and to provide regular Final Cost and projection information to Production Executive and Head of Production.
Providing Accounting support to the Production Team &ndash; including the following:
<ul><li>Ensuring that Vendor Invoices are properly coded and authorised for payment
</li><li>Liaising with Accounts Payable on all Payables issues &ndash; dealing with Vendor enquiries
</li><li>Managing and reconciling the Production Pre-Paid Cards and ensuring that proper controls are maintained over these expenses.
</li><li>Managing and reconciling expenditure incurred on Production Credit Cards
</li><li>Dealing with T&amp;E expenses for all relevant staff using the Concur system
</li><li>Assisting the Production Managers with monthly Actual Cost Reporting against Budget and analysing and explaining Budget v Actual variances
</li><li>Proactive analysis of Production spend and revenue and reporting potential under/overspends
</li><li>Dealing with any other ad hoc production related finance matters as required
</li><li>Liaising with accounting staff in other departments on all of the above
</li></ul>This is a &ldquo;Sleeves Up&rdquo; role for someone who enjoys getting fully involved in a Role and working as part of a busy Team.

</li><li>Must be able to work without close supervision and have the initiative to deal with problems as they arise or refer them to Supervisors for further investigation.
</li><li>Must have an interest in Television Production and a desire to pursue a career in the Industry
