The <b>Purchasing Agent</b> will be a product expert, interacting with the Sales team and suppliers to meet our customer needs. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with suppliers on pricing, inventory availability, new items, and complementary/substitute items.</div><div></div><div><br>

Responsibilities:
<div>
You will:</div><ul><li>
Manage the creation and maintenance of all items for assigned vendor lines</li><li>
Maintain a clear line of communication with our suppliers and Sales team</li><li>
Negotiate and resolve supplier performance issues impacting costs and customer service.</li><li>
Partner with Sales to gain insight into customer needs</li><li>
Utilize existing tools and systems to analyze and take action on current inventory positions and trends</li><li>
Achieve in-stock service level targets, response times, and inventory need dates</li><li>
Continue improvement of KPIs for out-of-stock items and inventory turns</li><li>
Assist in defining and reporting key performance metrics</li><li>
Continuously monitor demand forecasting to ensure accuracy
</li><li>Refine existing tools and methods to continually improve forecasts and processes
</li><li>Identify, select, and purchase the items to fit the needs of our customers</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div>
You have:</div><ul><li>
A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
</li><li>3+ years of buying and inventory/supply chain experience required</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li><li>
A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships</li></ul><p></p><div><br>
