<div><div>Remanufacturing Product &amp; Quality Engineer, will support Reman Commodities - product &amp; quality improvement actions from end to end &ndash; incoming core from field, to teardown &amp; cleaning processes, product qualifications, assembly &amp; final testing.<br>
The engineer will focus on core utilization, process &amp; product improvements and tooling, machinery technology enhancements. This position requires a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional team environment with ongoing onsite program reviews at 3rd party supplier location(s)</div><div></div><div><br>
Responsibilities include but not limited to:<br>
</div><ul><li>
Understand engineering and industrialization aspects of remanufactured parts, such as design, specifications and machinery, in order to enhance the process without affecting original design intent<br>
</li><li>
Understand field quality key process indicators (KPI), working with the organization &amp; Supplier&rsquo;s Engineering and Quality Teams and work on implementing Quality improvement strategies<br>
</li><li>
Support product teardown reviews, component attrition studies, root causes and corrective actions &ndash; with closed loop feedback to the organizations Engineering &amp; Quality teams<br>
</li><li>
Develop project objectives and plans by providing input specific to product/process design requirements, project elements, and project scheduling<br>
</li><li>
Plan, schedule, and lead Process Audits for Reman Parts - verify corrective actions to ensure compliance with technical requirements of the product and process according to a standard<br>
</li><li>
Evaluate quality and program risk on an ongoing basis, with emphasis on meeting Throughput expectations<br>
</li><li>
Be the voice of Supplier issues on component availabilities and follow up with expeditious execution of corrective actions to mitigate production working with Purchasing &amp; Supply Chain teams</li></ul><div></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Requirements</b></h3><ul><li>
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field<br>
</li><li>
5+ years of Process or Manufacturing Experience, with emphasis in Powertrain areas<br>
</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s requirements &amp;/or Engineering requirements can be waived, if candidate has exceptional track record in manufacturing processes with well documented process &amp; quality improvement actions implemented<br>
</li></ul><div><b>
Preferred Requirements</b>:<br>
</div><ul><li>
5 years of manufacturing, remanufacturing, repair or engineering development experience in Gas or Diesel powertrains and/or system components.<br>
</li><li>
Experience managing several simultaneous projects and ensure resources are allocated appropriately to meet timing.<br>
</li><li>
Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings (GD&amp;T Knowledge preferred but not required).<br>
</li><li>
Travel required to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities &ndash; maybe 5%-10%</li></ul></div><div></div>

Product Quality Engineer

<div><div>We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Battery Modeling Engineer to join our Innovation Team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and/or enhancing battery modeling tools and performing cell performance and ageing simulations in support of cell technology Innovation projects.<br>
</div><ul><li>
Develop/enhance numerical tools to implement and couple the physical phenomena governing the performance (chemical, thermal, mechanical, and ageing) and safety (thermal runaway) of battery cells. Leverage ML/AI where applicable.<br>
</li><li>
Perform cell performance and ageing simulations in support of all the cell technology Innovation projects within the Battery Advanced Functional Design team, to evaluate the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the disruptive technologies in cell electrochemistry for automotive applications.<br>
</li><li>
Assist with completion of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) evaluations on time, by providing pertinent virtual analysis results including pack performance metrics such as charge time and thermal system requirements.<br>
</li><li>
Help scout, analyze and assess promising technologies or concepts from various sources (press, media, scientific publications, conferences, direct contacts with suppliers, startups or academic partners).<br>
</li><li>
Contribute to mid- and long-term roadmaps for cell electrochemistry in accordance with the Expertise Network.<br>
</li><li>
Collaborate with other virtual engineering teams within the company that work on battery cell and pack performance evaluation.<br>
</li><li>
Collaborate with other supporting technical teams such as materials and processes, standards, purchasing, component and subsystem testing.<br>
</li><li>
To arbitrate decisions on relative perimeter and to escalate major gaps that require higher level arbitration.</li></ul><div></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Requirements</b></h3><ul><li>
Engineering Degree in Materials, Electrical, Electrochemistry or related degree field.<br>
</li><li>
Experience in lithium-ion battery technologies and materials.<br>
</li><li>
3+ years of experience in cell electrochemistry modeling.<br>
</li><li>
Proficient in numerical modeling using computational tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, COMSOL, and GT-AutoLion.<br>
</li><li>
Advanced used of Microsoft Office applications.<br>
</li></ul><div><b>
Preferred Requirements</b>:<br>
</div><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s or PhD in Materials Engineering or Electrochemistry.<br>
</li><li>
5+ years of experience in cell electrochemistry modeling.<br>
</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a cross functional, multi-cultural, and global team environment.<br>
</li><li>
Experience to provide technical guidance and direction during supplier technical reviews.</li></ul></div><div></div>
