Overview We are looking for a physically strong, responsible, and enthusiastic person to join our client's team of caregivers. Our client has muscular dystrophy and is a wheelchair user who is entirely physically dependent on others for her care and daily activities. Despite her condition, she teaches part time at UCLA and is currently in the process of obtaining her PhD. In addition to providing care in the home, you may also be asked to accompany the client for her job, recreational activities, and travel opportunities (with additional compensation). We are looking for someone who is fully available for shifts that are 12-16 hours long, typically from 9am-11pm depending on the client's plans.Duties<ul><li>Assist client with all types of daily living activities, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, shaving/trimming body hair, toileting, styling hair/makeup, and meal preparation.</li><li>Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.</li><li>Help client with mobility and transfers (Note: MUST be able to lift 90+ lbs)</li><li>Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing housekeeping tasks as needed.</li><li>Accompanying client to work and social outings (Note: MUST be able to drive client's wheelchair accessible van and have a Driver's License) </li><li>Doing errands and chores for the client as needed (picking up medications, getting groceries, doing laundry, etc.)</li><li>Assisting with pet care for a cat, dog, and gecko (in a terrarium) that live in the household</li></ul>If you are passionate about providing care and support, we encourage you to apply for this incredible opportunity.
