We encourage individuals of all skill levels to submit their resumes and become part of our team of devoted professionals.Skills and Qualifications: <ul><li>Previous work experience is desired, but training will be provided for a qualified candidate.</li><li>Excellent communication and computer skills</li><li>Desire to continuously learn</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Organized</li><li>Critical thinking skills</li></ul>Brief Job Description: (Not all-inclusive)As a Medical Assistant at Indiana Foot &amp; Ankle, you are responsible for assisting the provider and patients from arrival to departure. Your goal is to ensure the patient is triaged in a friendly and timely manner and effectively communicate with providers and staff regarding patient care. Some key points for the position:<ul><li>Assist patient to the procedure room</li><li>Verify patient information and obtain patient history and vitals.</li><li>Assist provider with minor procedures and/or patient education.</li><li>Apply topical medications, dressings, and/or castings.</li><li>Obtain X-rays and additional imaging. (qualified candidates will receive certification on behalf of Indiana Foot &amp; Ankle)</li><li>Assist with custom orthotic scans and other dispensing of DME.</li><li>Ensure appropriate forms are accurately completed.</li><li>Assist the provider with referrals and orders.</li><li>Guide patients to check out and assist with scheduling.</li><li>Disinfect/Sterilize all equipment, tools, and procedure rooms</li><li>Answer patient questions, return voicemails</li><li>Effectively communicate with providers and staff regarding patient care.</li><li>Stay knowledgeable in office policies and procedures</li><li>Follow HIPPA Guidelines</li><li>Keep rooms and nursing stations stocked, organized, and clean.</li><li>Chart/document all necessary medical assistant encounters.</li></ul>Indiana Foot &amp; Ankle Hours of Operation: Monday/Thursday 8:00am-4:30 pmTuesdays: 8:00 am-6:30pmWednesdays: 8:00am-12:30pmFriday: 8:00 am-4 pmClosed: Saturday &amp; SundayWhy join our team?
