Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>
Record and verify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.</li><li>
Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries.</li><li>
Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.</li><li>
Support the preparation of financial reports for management review.</li><li>
Organize and maintain financial documentation and files.</li><li>
Assist with account reconciliations and variance analysis.</li><li>
Respond to internal financial inquiries as needed.</li><li>
Support the annual audit process by gathering required documentation.</li><li>
Collaborate to ensure compliance with accounting policies.</li><li>
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance function.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<p>
Qualifications:</p><ul><li>
Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.</li><li>
2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and healthcare billing practices.</li><li>
Familiarity with medical insurance billing and coding practices is a plus.</li><li>
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><p>
Work Environment:</p><ul><li>
The bookkeeper will work in an office setting.</li></ul><p>
Physical Demands:</p><ul><li>
Requires prolonged sitting, manual dexterity sufficient to operate and a computer for inputting data, telephone, and copy/fax machine.</li></ul></div>
