1. Patient Care<ul><li>Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).</li><li>Monitor patient condition and promptly report abnormalities.</li><li>Assist doctors during procedures and emergencies.</li><li>Ensure continuity of care through proper handovers and documentation.</li><li>Educate and counsel patients and families about health, treatment, and discharge instructions.</li></ul>2. Medication Management (MOM Standards)<ul><li>Administer medicines safely following the 6 R&rsquo;s (right patient, drug, dose, time, route, documentation).</li><li>Check expiry, label, and allergy status before administration.</li><li>Report and record medication errors or adverse drug reactions immediately.</li><li>Maintain safe storage and return of drugs as per hospital policy.</li></ul>3. Infection Prevention &amp; Control (HIC Standards)<ul><li>Follow hand hygiene, PPE use, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Segregate and dispose of biomedical waste per color coding.</li><li>Report needle-stick injuries and participate in infection surveillance.</li><li>Participate in infection control training and audits.</li></ul>4. Documentation &amp; Record Keeping (IMS Standards)<ul><li>Maintain accurate, timely, and legible nursing records (vitals, medications, assessments, care plans).</li><li>Ensure confidentiality and proper filing of records.</li><li>Follow hospital formats and approved abbreviations.</li><li>Participate in record audits and data accuracy reviews.</li></ul>5. Patient Safety &amp; Quality (CQI &amp; COP Standards)<ul><li>Adhere to NABH patient safety goals (correct identification, communication, infection control, safe medication use).</li><li>Participate in safety rounds, internal audits, and mock drills (fire, code blue, disaster).</li><li>Identify, report, and help analyze incidents, near misses, and sentinel events.</li><li>Ensure safe environment and functioning of all equipment.</li></ul>6. Communication &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.</li><li>Ensure smooth coordination with laboratory, pharmacy, and other support services.</li><li>Provide complete and accurate information during shift handovers.</li></ul>7. Training &amp; Professional Development (HRM Standards)<ul><li>Attend mandatory in-service education (infection control, fire safety, BLS)</li><li>Participate in periodic competency assessments and continuing nursing education.</li><li>Maintain valid nursing registration and update knowledge regularly.</li><li>Support induction and mentoring of new nurses and students.</li></ul>8. Administrative &amp; Support Duties<ul><li>Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and equipment in assigned areas.</li><li>Ensure proper upkeep, calibration, and maintenance of biomedical equipment.</li><li>Maintain ward discipline, hygiene, and safety at all times.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement and hospital accreditation activities.</li></ul>9. Ethical &amp; Legal Responsibilities<ul><li>Uphold patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality as per NABH.</li><li>Report any ethical concerns or malpractice through appropriate channels.</li><li>Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions.</li></ul>Qualification:<ul><li>GNM / B.Sc.
