Position Title: Supplier Quality Specialist<br>
Department: Quality<br>
Reports To: Director, Quality</p><p></p><p><br>
MAJOR DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers with respect to technology, performance, quality, cost, logistics and delivery.</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams on process and quality improvements.</li><li>Stay up to date with technological advancements in the field and identify how to leverage them to improve cost, quality or assurance of supply.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Direct engagement with suppliers to accomplish improvements in supplier quality and shipping performance.</li><li>Audit the supplier to applicable codes and standards (ISO 9001, NQA-1).</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Specific Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>Strictly follow ISO/NQA-1 Quality requirements as defined within the manual and procedures.</li><li>Benchmarking new potential suppliers (pre-audit)</li><li>Supplier scorecard delivery and follow up</li><li>On-going Supplier engagement ensuring both ATS and Suppliers are informed and in compliance with change management.</li><li>Support Product Sourcing Strategy and provide technical leadership in new supplier selection.</li><li>Support new business ramp with Suppliers (drawing reviews, Inspection plans, etc.)</li><li>Assist the Quality Department with SCAR resolution, more complex NCR&rsquo;s, external Supplier training, and Audits as assigned by the Quality Manager.</li><li>Support new business ramp with Suppliers (drawing reviews, Inspection plans, etc.)</li><li>Assist the Quality Department with SCAR resolution, more complex NCR&rsquo;s, external Supplier training, and Audits as assigned by the Quality Manager.</li><li>Travel may be required to local and international destinations.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><p>
Qualifications:</p><ul><li>A post-secondary engineering, quality or equivalent degree, with experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, toolmaking, machining, welding, quality or equivalent experience is preferred</li><li>Ability to meet the qualifications of NIAC Lead Auditor</li><li>Nuclear Auditor training and qualification is an asset</li></ul><p><br>
Experience/Requirements:</p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience in nuclear environment or other highly regulated industry preferred</li><li>Minimum 5 years experience in a calibration environment preferred</li><li>Minimum 5 years experience working in an environment with applications in: manufacturing, mechanical equipment &amp; components, heat treating, plating, welding &amp; painting applications preferred.</li><li>Working experience with ISO 9001 and NQA-1</li><li>Experience with the Nuclear requirements relating to Quality and Inspection plans</li><li>Advanced understanding of GD&amp;T</li><li>Ability to read mechanical detail and assembly drawings</li><li>Ability to read a variety of types of measuring equipment</li><li>Ability to operate and program a CMM</li><li>Strong communication and documentation skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects from various diverse organizations</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
