Industrial Automation Inc, a licensed OEM manufacturer of aircraft tooling, has an immediate opening for a full-time Purchaser. Applicants should have a minimum of two years' relevant experience and be familiar with Seattle-area suppliers of raw material and components.

Essential Responsibilities and Functions
<ul><li>Work with Production Control and Sales to determine priorities and delivery schedules.</li>
<li>Request competitive quotes for both raw materials and purchased goods.</li>
<li>Evaluate quotations for best pricing and availability.</li>
<li>Place purchase orders based on competitive quotes.</li>
<li>Resolve issues with material availability, obsolete components, part number changes, etc.</li>
<li>Regularly contact suppliers for status updates and follow up on late orders.</li>
<li>Promptly communicate potential delays or other concerns with outstanding orders.</li>
<li>Maintain adequate inventory of shop consumables and tools.</li>
<li>Validate pack slips and invoices for Accounts Payable.</li></ul> 
 
Requirements
<ul><li>Good organizational skills.</li>
<li>Strong time management, ability to prioritize based on components' cost and time sensitivity.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficient in MS Office.</li>
<li>Experience with ERP Systems.</li>
<li>Respect and commitment to the job and for coworkers.</li>
<li>Problem solving abilities.</li>
</ul>
Work Schedule 
 
Monday - Friday, 6:30A to 3:00P
