Job description:Job Title: Maintenance Head &ndash; Footwear Manufacturing Location: 210. I bulding, Opp. J building, Rajlaxmi Complex, Kalher, Bhiwandi. 421302.Reports To: Plant Head / General Manager &ndash; OperationsJob Purpose:To lead and manage the maintenance, repair, and upgradation of all machinery, utilities, and infrastructure in the footwear manufacturing plant. The role ensures zero downtime, cost efficiency, and safety compliance, enabling smooth production operations.Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive &amp; Breakdown Maintenance<ul><li>Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for footwear machinery (cutting, stitching, lasting, sole pressing, moulding, PU/PVC injection machines, compressors, boilers, etc.).</li><li>Ensure minimum machine downtime through quick breakdown analysis and troubleshooting.</li><li>Maintain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) for specialized equipment.</li></ul>2. Team Leadership &amp; Supervision<ul><li>Lead a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and electricians.</li><li>Allocate daily work, monitor performance, and conduct skill-upgradation training.</li><li>Foster a safety-first culture on the shop floor.</li></ul>3. Utilities &amp; Infrastructure<ul><li>Oversee maintenance of utilities &ndash; DG sets, compressors, boilers, HVAC, ETP/STP, water supply, electrical panels.</li><li>Ensure uninterrupted availability of power, air, and other utilities critical for footwear production.</li></ul>4. Inventory &amp; Cost Control<ul><li>Manage spares and consumables inventory to avoid stock-outs while keeping costs under control.</li><li>Negotiate with vendors for cost-effective procurement of spare parts and consumables.</li></ul>5. Process Improvement &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Identify opportunities for energy saving and machine efficiency improvement.</li><li>Implement Kaizen, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and 5S practices.</li><li>Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (electrical safety, pollution control, boiler regulations, etc.).</li></ul>6. Reporting &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance MIS reports.</li><li>Coordinate with the Production &amp; Quality teams to align machine readiness with production plans.</li><li>Report critical issues to senior management and recommend solutions.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of footwear machinery &amp; production processes (cutting, stitching, lasting, sole moulding, injection).</li><li>Expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.</li><li>Hands-on troubleshooting ability and root cause analysis.</li><li>Leadership &amp; team management skills.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP/ERP maintenance modules is an advantage.</li><li>Safety &amp; compliance awareness.</li></ul>Qualification &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.</li><li>3&ndash;7 years of experience in plant/factory maintenance, with at least 2 years in footwear / leather / allied manufacturing industry in a managerial role.</li></ul>Performance Indicators (KPIs):<ul><li>Machine downtime (hours/month)</li><li>Adherence to preventive maintenance schedule (%)</li><li>Maintenance cost vs budget</li><li>Utility uptime (%)</li><li>Safety incidents reported</li></ul>Contact: HR Akhil. +91-9172952881.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
