With this, we are currently hiring for full-time Staff Engineers at our Cornelius, NC office. If you are looking to work in a collaborative and flexible environment where each member&rsquo;s unique capabilities and contributions are valued, apply now!Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: <ul><li>Performing routine engineering tasks; requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision</li><li>Conducting routine data collection, synthesis, and analysis using approved procedures</li><li>Documenting project-related activities</li><li>Preparing high quality deliverables that are on time, and within budget and scope; deliverables include but are not limited to: site drawings, condition maps, and reports</li><li>Working in collaborative multidisciplinary teams to meet all assigned project deadlines</li><li>Drafting technical sections of project communications and reports</li><li>Contributing to development of technical procedures/methods</li><li>Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives on complex or unusual engineering projects</li><li>Assisting with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline</li><li>Willing to travel (25%-50%), typically ~1 week per month between April &ndash; October</li><li>Performing all work in accordance with company and client Health &amp; Safety protocols</li><li>Performing all work with a positive attitude</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required**</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline</li><li>Active driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines</li><li>Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required</li><li>Passion for learning and a strong work ethic</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Master's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline or 2+ years of experience</li><li>Experience with nondestructive testing/evaluation methods (e.g., ground penetrating radar, infrared thermography, falling weight deflectometer, seismic, acoustic, sonic/ultrasonic, etc.)</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation</li><li>Experience with programming (MATLAB, Python)</li><li>Experience with LiDAR</li><li>Experience with signal and image processing, and with GUI development</li><li>Experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) according to American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)</li><li>Proficient in the use of survey equipment such as total stations, data collectors, auto levels, and GPS units</li><li>Experience with surveying projects that have included boundary, topographic, existing conditions, and utility surveys</li><li>Experience working with State DOT projects</li><li>Experience managing traffic control contractors</li></ul>Performance Expectations: <ul><li>Performs duties as assigned</li><li>Adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget</li><li>Communicates effectively with team members, clients, and contractors</li><li>Reviews all work for completeness, accuracy, and quality prior to submitting</li><li>Understands all applicable industry standards for project and performs all tasks per standards and client requirements</li><li>Manages complexity by making sense of complicated and large quantities of information to effectively solve problems</li><li>Optimizes work processes by knowing and integrating the most effective and efficient processes to get things done</li><li>Focuses on continuous improvement balanced with client expectations</li><li>Complies with all Infrasense policies and procedures</li><li>Reviews jobsite safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues</li><li>Submits accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports on time</li><li>Drives self-development by actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels, with development focused on their future career path</li><li>Participates in cross - training as requested to build a stronger team</li></ul>Benefits: <ul><li>Paid sick leave</li><li>Accrued PTO (Vacation)</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Long-term disability insurance</li><li>401K</li><li>Cell phone stipend</li><li>Annual performance bonuses</li></ul>Work Model:<ul><li>Hybrid &ndash; In Office, Field Work, &amp; Remote.</li></ul>** We will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.
