 Job Description
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Interacting with and advising the Ingersoll-Rand MEIA leadership team on strategic legal topics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Providing advice, counseling and legal guidance on topics related to a publicly traded entity in India.
 </li>
 <li>
 Providing accurate and timely counsel to stakeholders on a variety of legal topics (contracts, M&amp;A transactions, commercial transactions, corporate law, data privacy);
 </li>
 <li>
 Active management, drafting, negotiation, review &amp; revision of contracts and terms &amp; conditions in various MEIA jurisdictions;
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafting &amp; review of communications with business partners, customers &amp; public authorities;
 </li>
 <li>
 Assisting internal departments &amp; project teams in achieving corporate objectives effectively &amp; in compliance with applicable laws, procedures &amp; policies;
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborating on &amp; leading projects with other departments and functions to ensure compliance due to changes in applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborating with &amp; supervision of outside counsel in various jurisdictions;
 </li>
 <li>
 Dealing with litigation matters (consumer &amp; commercial) and responding to external legal inquiries;
 </li>
 <li>
 Providing support on procurement, intercompany &amp; corporate secretarial matters;
 </li>
 <li>
 Active collaboration within the Ingersoll-Rand global legal team.

 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) /Master of Laws (LLM) Degree
 </li>
 <li>
 Full proficiency in English.
 </li>
 <li>
 7+ years specialized professional experience in commercial legal context;
 </li>
 <li>
 High degree of professional ethics and integrity;
 </li>
 <li>
 Expertise in the fields of commercial law/contractual law;
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional contracts;
 </li>
 <li>
 Outstanding communication skills;
 </li>
 <li>
 Superb drafting skills;
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to conceptualize and articulate creative business solutions to complex challenges;
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactive attitude, self-motivation;
 </li>
 <li>
 Results-oriented with an ownership mindset and strong sense of responsibility;
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on mentality &amp; an international mind-set;
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborative working style.
 </li>
 <li>
 Some in-house experience preferred but not required
 </li>
 <li>
 Qualified lawyer in India
